Dr. Caitlyn Shriver is studying wolves by injecting trackers to watch them as they roam their territory. Caitlyn comes upon the Two Marks pack's territory that's been forbidden to her and discovers love in the form of her fated mates, scent matched wolf shifters, Wade and Landry. Two Marks wolf shifters mate in pairs that share the same scent genes that share one mate. Tranquing, chipping for research, Caitlyn finds her fated mates but her tagged wolves are also being killed and that is a disaster for her research, reputation and relationship with her wolf shifter lovers. You must read this story to see how these lovers work out all the ensuing complications that threaten their HEA.

It took way to long in this book to the real story. It was a good story when the authors finally got to it. I almost gave up.

Tempted is the second installment in the Two Mark paranormal romantic suspense series jointly penned by Renee Rose and Vanessa Vale. Once again, these ladies introduce readers to fascinating lead characters—Dr. Caitlyn Shriver, Wade and Landry West. Caitlyn is a wolf biologist involved in ongoing research on the wolves in the area. This brings her to the West family and the Two Mark Wolf pack, especially Wade and Landry. It soon becomes evident that Caitlyn is their soulmate. But her occupation is at odds with the wolf pack and in danger when she realizes her boss, Dr. Andrews, in using her data in collusion with ranchers to exterminate wolves.

Once again, Ms. Rose and Ms. Vale penned a captivating paranormal menage romantic suspense. I enjoy their writing style. Their skill in crafting outstanding dialog is remarkable. I enjoyed their use of multi-person POV and descriptive language to provide an understanding of Caitlyn, Wade, and Landry’s backstories. I liked the way they used the theme of corruption and greed to drive their antagonists, an unlikely pair of a college professor and a rancher. This was a nice touch.

When these two authors write together you better buckle up because you are in for a fantastic story! I absolutely love this book. Landry and Wade have to step in unfamiliar roles to them and Caitlyn just wants to study the wolves. She feels a connection to the wolves she is studying and good thing for her because that’s exactly what Wade and Landry are. Someone is killing the wolves she tags and hurting her research but that is not all they are hurting. Can she prove to Landry and Wade and the rest of the pack that she only has good intentions when it comes to the wolves?

Caitlyn has a study she is doing on wolves. But her sneaking onto Two Marks land is going to get her into trouble. Wade and Landry have been left in charge while Gib and Ben are off finding their mate and bringing her home. They don’t need any one nosying around the land. But when they catch her scent, they know she is their true mate. Now they just have to get her to change what she is doing. She will endanger the pack if she publishes her findings.

Caitlyn is one smart cookie. She is not only studying the wolves and but she also teaches. In the beginning she was a bit unsure of herself with Wade. When she finally met Landry and found out about sharing, plus a bit of punishment she got over it. The guys adore her and would do anything to protect her. Having to tell Gib and Ben that she was their mate was going to be tough. The worry about the pack and the wolves in general made things complicated. And what happened to Wade’s mom, so sad. They found their happy medium. Plus we got a look into Cord the doctor. Mind you I read the 3rd book, “Desired,” before this one so I knew that story but it was fun getting to know him a bit more.

And yes, it can be a bit frustrating when they can't or won't talk to each other but fortunately it all works out. Although it is helpful to have read the first in the series it is not absolutely necessary as this is truly a standalone book.

I hope to see more of Shelby and her scientific abilities in other books in the series. Shelby, Wade, and Laundry are just really great characters. This is a hot hot book with two men and one women. They are all mates for life.

Caitlin’s love of wolves brought her to Wyoming from the east coast but she doesn’t know wolf shifters exist. The story line has lots of angst, smoking sexy times, and a baddie that needs to be brought to justice. Loved this tale.
