Once again Amy Cross pulls me into a dizzying story of believable ghostly terror. I enjoyed all the descriptions and characters used to create a story of family bonds that can be broken, repaired and completely sabotaged. I did not guess this ending at all!!

I always like this author. But this book was horrible, very disappointing. Story line , ending , etc.. Was just not good at all. I guess another description would be silly.

I think I actually liked this book. In so many of the author's other books I was turned off by the gore .... especially by the abundance of maggots being brought into the story. It was over kill to the max! I swore to myself that I would never read anything again by this author. In this book there wasn't a one. Okay, I'll admit that I like this book

One of the worst books I’ve ever read! It started out ok but went downhill fast. I skipped lots of pages just to get through it after finding out what was causing the ghostly appearances. Major eye-roll moment!

This book grabs you from the very beginning and I found no slow spots or fillers. And about 2/3 of the way through the book there is a huge twist. And then at the end there is another huge twist. Both I did not see coming. And I can usually figure those things out ahead of time. 5 stars, I definitely recommend this book.

Some of it was a bit far fetched but I just rolled ×it it. I liked all the ghost activity....some books only hint of it until you reach the end. I liked that the activity was all through the story. I did read it in 2 evenings...the 2nd evening I held off sleep as i read hurriedly....so obviously its a good story!

Indeed, is there anything more frightening than the depravity a parent can bring to their own children... This is one of those stories. Fraught with tension, doubt, and terror. Up til the very last page, and only then do we see that finally Miriam gets her just reward.
