Ah, this writer never ceases to amaze me. You can tell by the way she writes she enjoys it. This book is actually 3 short ones bundled.
Oh yeah, character profile and world-building, she penned it wonderfully. I think the stories moved and flowed well one from the other not to say it wasn't busy. It was but it wasn't hard to follow. We have shifters, we have hellhounds oh my. I'm surprised we didn't see the fates themselves. *laughs*
We have our sexy males and smexy females that heat up the pages in their quest towards fated. Thieves after the same treasure, shifter, and hellhounds, always a bit of mystery afoot and some action to mix it all together. It was a lot of fun to read and had me laughing in a few different parts. If you've liked Ms Hayes, you just like her more. Enjoy
Mating Fever is a collection of three paranormal romance stories - each one a fairly quick read. Altogether the collection is a worthwhile read. As a shifter fan, I totally enjoyed the two stories centered around shifters - each with suspense, some action, and heated romance. However, the final one is based on Lucifer and his Hell Hounds. While that is sort of a shifter story, I would have passed on it on an individual basis. So, from my perspective, this collection has two 5's and one 3 which I'll say is 4 stars. But, if you're like me, don't miss the good ones for the one that just passed me by. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Mating Fever by Susan Hayes contains three short stories that are sure to capture an avid paranormal romance reader’s interest. Tiger Trap and wolf Under Cover are both shifter novellas, while Carnage is a Hell Hound story. Each has its own unique flavour, but all are fast-paced, action-packed and filled with humourous dialogue too! This is definitely an enjoyable and entertaining collection.

Each story is pretty good. Quick reads. I have previously read Tiger Trap and Carnage.
Tiger Trap - two thieves after the same painting. Not the ideal time to find their mate! Wolf Under Cover - a wolf shifter meets his human mate while undercover. Carnage - the Devil has a few tricks up his sleeve. Sending a hellhound after a hybrid.
