Thomas Hudson is a man on a mission: prove his grandfather was a WWII hero, not a military zero. A professor of history, he travels to Cat’s Paw Cove to find the exact place where his grandfather crashed.
Casey Blessing comes from a family of Magicals, but considers herself a Regular—or is she? When her very pregnant sister prepares for the blessed event, she passes the family Magical baton to her sister.
Thomas and Casey wind up at the same time and place so often, it becomes clear these are not coincidences. Is it the ugly little matchmaking doll that’s responsible for these meet-ups—or is it Hudson’s grandfather reaching out to help his grandson?
This story has all the great things I love: the magical town of Cat’s Paw Cove, a cast of zany Magical and Regular characters, and a sweet plot that gives you all the feels. I give this book five high-fives from the ugly little doll shelf and I highly recommend this fun read!
This is such a wonderful heartfelt story. We are transported back to the past, during World War II when a horrible crash occurred near Cat's Paw Cove. Casey has powers just like many in Cat's Paw Cove but she doesn't always want to relive things or use them. She wants to do photography. However, someone needs her help... And now to open the eyes of one doubtful Thomas who needs to find an ending for his grandmother. Casey is attracted to him from the start and she feels the weight he is carrying. Casey decides to do what she can to help him find his closure, as well as perhaps further her career. A very old crash, a mischievous cat named Scarlett, and a magical town bring tons of blessings. This story is very well written and I enjoyed it very much.
