Elevator Girl is a daily serial and is a book written in daily segments. Book 2 is the month of August. Virginia is down on her luck and needs a job. She finally finds one working at the Coronado Hotel as an Elevator Girl. The hotel is a1970's themed hotel with financial problems. The owner, Otis, is trying to revive it and there was an Elevator Girl from the past named Eloise who was murdered. Virginia starts asking questions and looks around and learns some interesting things about the hotel which leads to time travel and ghosts. It is a bit fanciful but fun and intriguing. Quite enjoyable!
The chronology of her books is intriguing. Jack Terry seems to find his way into most of them. That he is wearing a wedding ring in this one makes me f Glad that I have already read the body movers 12.
For those that do not believe in afterlife, this will be a hard suspend belief and just enjoy the ride. The storyline is interesting to me. The time travel aspect always intrigues me. The 70's were a bit crazy. Will see how this ends up.
So glad I learned my lesson from Coma Girl and have disciplined myself to read only "today's" entry and not finishing the entire month by Day 3. I only have to wait until tomorrow. This might be my favorite series so far!!
I enjoy a lot of the books by Stephanie Bond, I think I have read almost everything she's written. This one , so far is her best serial book. I love the retro 70s vibe and the way she weaves in the mystery , is it a ghost or a time traveler ? I love her endings before the next " episode" . Always a shocker. Can't wait til Sept for book 3
