Pleasantly surprised!

I’ve been searching for a training treat bag for use during agility training with my dog. The key differences that I’ve noticed from this one as opposed to the other ones out there that I’ve read reviews on are that these snap closed like an old coin purse at the top and it doesn’t come open when it’s in use. The material width and overall size is a bit smaller than the other treat pouches but it fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, not too big and not too small. The cord and the clip are a bit flimsy, but that is very easy to correct with a thicker piece of cordage and a little sturdier carabiner, both easily found in hardware or hobby stores. Either way, for me the smaller size and secure closing clasp makes it easier and more convenient to use.

Out of all the small dog treat pouches in looked at I figured this would be the easiest to use just because I was already used to the closure mechanism and wouldn't mess it up, unlike the magnetic ones that looked like I might be able to mess up for some reason, this looking more complicate.

Well, this thing has a bit of a gap when you shut it, so if you're using small training treats they can fall out if it bends over. Also, since it doesn't close by itself if you don't have time to close it (ie your dog takes off after something and isn't listeming or you just plain forget and put the leash down (which is where I had to put mine... Actually had to hook it to potty bag holder bc clip was too small to hook it to actual leash).

Anyway, it's not terrible, just wish I would have gotten something with magnetic closure that had pants hook, think that would be more useful.

I have been trying to find an easy open container for keeping dog treats accessible. This pouch is easy to open but stays securely closed. My dog does not bother it when left on the side table. I docked it one star simply for the clip. It is not real sturdy and the string is just wrapped around the clasp. I have seen similar products that have a chain or such on the side. With this one, I’m not sure I would clip it to a bag or anything where it might slip off.

I thought these would work good for holding treats and they do but air easily gets in and the treats turn dry and hard. So maybe just good for mini bones, not for moist treats
