Issaka and Faro

I liked this story. Don’t like the way it ended though. But it left just enough of a cliff hanger that if there was another I would come back and read it to get closure. I feel like you were given enough information to be led to certain conclusions.
I really liked Faro. Her strength was amazing at the right times. And to discover Issaka’s father was the keeper of the ancient books and his mother seemed to be like some sort of spirit women. A protector of the unseen in a sense. That was surprising but it would explain how Faro was put into the book by Issaka in another life.
It’s definitely a unique concept. And it feels similar to what is happening in Afghanistan now.
