This book is presented as a sales book and it is, but it is also a motivating book to get you interested in what you want to do and create. Some of it is a bit random, but all of it filled with worth while tips and some honest help. There are inspiring parts as well. This short and positive read with get you thinking about things you can do to improve yourself as well as become better at sales.
This is a great book for those who are new to sales. It's inspiring and encouraging, plus it has practical tidbits of action to follow. I loved learning that introverts (who, me?) can succeed in sales because they already perform one of the biggest functions of sales: listening. The book does need a touch of proofing, but that doesn't detract from its overall benefit. Recommend for those just starting on their sales journey.
This book is almost like two books in one. The first part deals with what one would call direct sales, i.e. sales of a product or service from one person to another. The second part is about contacting a Decision Maker in the corporate world, finding out the person to contact and how to find the correct e-mail address. While there are good ideas and hints for success in this book, it seems a bit unfocused.
I think this is a great book if you want a quick read with solid advice. My favourite part is the section where the author gives examples of emails that can be used to break the ice with potential prospects. That is something I have wrestled with myself. I would love the book to be a little longer and with a few more examples to really see the practices in play. Very helpful!
This book is concise and to the point. It hits on key principles of selling. It offers detailed support on the issue of finding and contacting the right person for a sales connection. While this may be less useful for someone with years of experience, it is a useful tool for anyone starting out who wants to get a clear and easy to understand introduction to the area.
This little book is a nice quick read with a clean look. It reads well and the author has a way of telling a story along with the information, that feels organic and rings true. The things discussed in relation to sales might not necessarily be anything that will knock your socks off - but it's good none the less.
Three and half stars rounded up. The information is good. It's basic sales for the most part, though I did learn a thing or two, and the author's style is friendly and easy to follow. He needs an editor because it's not the most professionally put together book. Overall, good information.
Nice information and tips to help you refine your sales approach. I appreciate that the author does not encourage or promote being fake or "tricking people." If you are selling something you are genuinely passionate about, then you simply need to learn how to share that with other people.
This book is simple and to the point. It covers the basics of sales that work for beginners, as well as a refresher for someone who has been in sales for a while. The backstory of the author is enlightening and inspiring— a good reference to have.
