I knew running could get me in trouble...haha. Run for your life would have been a good title for this book which I loved. The scare factor in this book is fantastic and the creature was well thought out. I simply couldn't stop reading. The characters came alive and I felt their terror. I would love to read another cryptid adventure book from this author.
This book caught my attention because of its title, its southwestern setting and the vibrant and scary cover! It pulled me in from the start and kept my interest. A young woman on her own is attacked and becomes aware of a dangerous creature lurking in the darkness and attacking others in her town. You'll have fun and experience moments of terror as you join Jessica in her search. I loved this book! Wasp Canyon is definitely worth checking out. 5 Stars!!
Very suspensful and well written. The first few chapters are s-l-o-w and need a good editing. But afterwards, wow, just wow. The author is skilled enough to handle the plot judiciously, and paints pictures with her words. I could visualize this as a movie.
This story highlights some of the charms, traditions, and myths of our beloved Southwest. A story of triumph over many forms of adversity. A great page turner that I didn’t want to put down. I can’t wait to get back out on the trails of Tucson. Who knows what will be watching when I go.
Danielle McCroy takes you on an adventure from the first page to the last. This is a book that you cannot put down. I have read it twice and cannot wait to read it again. Get ready to be go on a journey of a lifetime. Wasp Canyon has some powerhouse women who kick ass and take names. It proves that no matter what a person faces they can overcome it. When is the next book coming out?!?
The writer's descriptive language throughout helped me feel like I was there in each and every scene! I could feel myself walking the trailhead as she described the desert floor. I could feel the coolness of the canyon as Jessica finally reached its entrance. Terror rose from deep inside me just as it did with her characters. Truly impressed with this book....I had a hard time putting it down.
This tale starts well. The titular character is relatable and well structured. The story builds on itself into a wonderful crescendo of creep and fear. I will follow this budding writers career, and I recommend you do too!
Loved this book! The main character was really relatable to anyone who has lost a loved one. The book also kept me on my toes until the very end wondering how it would end. I would definitely recommend this book!
