The book is about the author’s experiences as she discovered Yoga and transitioned from a student to a Yoga teacher. Reading the book reminds me of the movie Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Roberts. The author first enumerated different types of Yoga and its history for readers to have a better understanding of it. Then, the author proceeded with the step-by-step process on how to become a Yoga teacher from training costs, learning the art of teaching yoga (skills needed, habits to form, choosing the right music, time of the day, groove, etc.), to earning a yoga teaching certificate. Not only that, it also discusses ethical guidelines and marketing tools for yoga teachers. Moreover, many people may think that pursuing a passion will not provide as much but this book encourages aspiring yoga teachers to do what they love. It proves that they can build a career from it as it covers income opportunities and advice about finances. What I like most about the book is it is short and straightforward yet it contains relevant information that a beginner needs to know. It is interesting to read and definitely a book worth buying.
It's a complete guide to becoming a yoga instructor. It's a short book, but it's jam-packed with useful information. To begin, it discusses how to earn your teaching certificate in the most efficient way possible. Then it discusses how to get started with your business. This book explains how to plan wisely, handle financially, avoid common mistakes, and create a sustainable and responsible business. Furthermore, this book will give you hope, which is the most important thing, in my opinion. Overall, this is a well-organized book that will prepare you for your future journey.
This little book is jam packed full of information on how to start a yoga business. Plenty of information about the training, the responsibilities of the teacher, income streams, even marketing. Yet, there is also a great deal of attention paid to the history of yoga, the different types and the energy involved to keep people safe. The author gives a fascinating account of her many travels and the pitfalls she faced in starting her own business. A very worthwhile read.
