I give this book 5 stars! It's a refreshing romance that isn't predictable, which I love love loooove! Any book that keeps me tied in that I finish in 12 hours with four kids and an attention-loving hubby, gets all stars from me.

The story was okay but a little slow for me. I need a bit more pizzazz or joush in my reading experiences. I also don’t need the extensive rundown of the family tree at beginning and end of the book it is annoying and distracting. Just introduce people as they are relevant. Also, did not like the male narrator as I went back and forth between Kindle and Audible.

Paige, sister to Pam Novak Westmoreland, sister-in-law to Dillion Westmoreland has solidified her acting career. She was seeing another actor who while filming his latest work, was discovered to be having an affair with his leading lady! The buzz began around him disrespecting Paige and him being so arrogant as to state to the public that once he explains things to Paige, she will take him back. I love Paige's little sister Nadia and how she handles this in the press. I admire how Nadia speaks her mind regardless of who is listening. I remember Nadia spoke her mind when Pam was about to marry the wrong man but that story has already been told. Into the fray walks Westmoreland cousin Jess Outlaw, newly minted senator from Alaska on vacation after solidifying his own campaign and place in the senate! Paige Still thinking now Senator Outlaw was not interested in her, she initially rebuffs his advances towards her. Things heat up after they finally get together, take their affair to a new height only to have Paige's arrogant ex boyfriend come into the picture trying to mess up what they have. Thankfully, Paige is not some naive young woman that falls for anything a man tells her and she sends him packing. Because initially Jess believed the lies of the ex and started to leave Napa Valley where they were both vacationing, Paige gave him the cold shoulder until he was able to convince her of his love for her and apologize for believing the worst. So all is well that ends well! Now we have another wedding in the Westmoreland/Outlaw family to provide us with many more years of great reading pleasure trying to keep up with all of those Westmorelands! This is especially true since One of the twin uncles Atlanta Westmoreland still thinks there are more Westmorelands out there! I am waiting to see what they find after we get Maverick, Sloane, and Charm's stories! As always Mrs. Jackson, you have given us some excellent reading and listening pleasure with Senator Outlaw and Paige Novak in the starring roles. We got an opportunity to visit Spencer and Chardonnay's home! Wow their son is in high school already! How time does fly! Thank you for keeping us up to date on all of the goings on with these magnificent families Mrs. Jackson!

I enjoyed this book and it’s reminded me that I like most of her Westmoreland and related series books. It’s a bit of a different take on an old plot. I have gotten to the point of skimming the sex scenes as they usually don’t add that much to the plot. The two main characters, despite their age difference, ten years, came into this story on pretty equal footing and both went into it with their eyes open. I appreciated the fact that the story included a prior meeting when the age difference and the time in their separate lives didn’t allow them to “get together.” The miscommunications and misunderstandings were typical to the genre and I liked the fairly quick clearing of the air. I liked it and thought it was a very solid 4 stars.

I enjoyed Paige and Jess's story. It's true that rebound relationships rarely work out but the biggest threat to relationships is lack of communication. Both Jess and Paige where keeping quiet about things they needed to discuss. That left room for manipulation, misunderstanding, and doubt. Kemp was a snake and deserve much worse than he received 😤

I loved Jes and Paige Story. I can't wait to read Maverick I've already preorder his book and Charm's story as well, are you going to write Bart's story I would like to know what's his issues with the Westmoreland? When the legacy Series came out, I had to go back to the beginning of Westmoreland ( Delaney's Desert Sheikh )series this how much I love reading this series.

I really enjoyed Jessie coming to Paige's help as a friend, even though he truly had feelings for her. He put his personal feelings aside to help her in her current situation.
