Ragnar Johansson and Megan Law
Editor and youngest triplet Megan Law, thought she had left the Embracer murder case behind her when her sister and brother-in-law captured the men responsible.
Instead, their partner Ragnar insists she’s still being targeted, and the ‘gift’ she is sent seems to prove his case.
Megan heads back to Virginia to help Ragnar uncover the truths behind the words that the men they have awaiting trial say- a special gift Megan has.
And that’s where they learn that the case may go far deeper than they ever expected.
This book, the second of the Law Triplet trilogy within the Krewe of Hunters world, continues on from Colleen’s book. While it’s not imperative that you have read ALL thirty-six books that precede this one, I do recommend you at least read the one before this since it is linked!
The case begun in that book is continued in this one, and I think it’s destined to be completed in the next one (Patrick’s book), because while all the mysteries in this one were solved, there is a big old loose end, and the book ends with a small book-hook cliffhanger.
Typical of Krewe books, there is a lot of action and suspense, and a little romance. It’s not an insta-love one though, as Ragnar and Megan met before, and even had an “encounter”.
The mystery is rather complex, and very convoluted, and because the Law triplets have special gifts, the ghost involvement is minimal.
It’s an enjoyable paranormal romantic suspense, and I’d recommend it for fans of the series, as well as the genre.
