Old life or new adventure

I have enjoyed other series by Sage Parker and couldn't wait for this one. The beginning did start slow for me and I wasn't sure, but then a few more pages and I was hooked. Kelly is a strong character able to deal with a cheating husband, unexpected divorce and a new life in anew town. Time for her to start over. So glad I selected this series to read. Can't wait to start book 2 today.

So this started out well but frankly I am tired of stories ending in the middle. I don't mind sequels but the idea of having to buy another book just to find out how the first one ends is beyond annoying!

Great start to new series

This was a good start to a new series. The book is a quick and easy read and the leaves you hanging wanting more to finish the series and does by putting out another book out quickly for you to enjoy. The charateracters are well written and believable. In the first book, Kelly Grant finds out her husband has left her with another woman and she learns this from her attorney. All her married life she has had the dream life with money. Now all her ex-husband leaves her is a year’s allowance and a house on a cliff. Kelly moves to the house that she hadn’t been in for several years only to find out it’s a moldy mess. She also has to get a job and with no experience it isn’t easy. In the book, we learn about Kelly and a few friends. I look forward to reading more about Kelly at Cliff’s Point.

Good beginning to the series.
Kelly and Lou are best friends even with a twelve year age difference. Kelly gets a shock when she finds out her husband is divorcing her after ten years, but has left her a beach house and enough money for a year.
She has to start over in a new town where she knows nobody.

This series seems to be made up of books that do not stand alone. That isn't something I like very much. The story and characters were good and I did enjoy the book up to the point of being left hanging. I am an ARC reader for this author and hopefully I will get the rest of the series as it is written. It is sweet and clean, which I always appreciate.

Kelly is blindsided when her husband divorces her with no warning. He leaves her a beach house needing repair and some money but she needs a job. She makes friends with Emily and she helps her get a job and introduces her to some people. Just when she thinks things are going well, the restaurant she works at closes. What will happen now?

For the first instalment in the story, this has grabbed my interest. The characters are developing and I have no idea where the story will go next - which means I’m waiting expectantly for the next instalment. Oh…. and so far there seems to be something really off about Jake…

Interesting First Book

I really liked Kelly and felt sorry for her at what her husband, Mike did. I liked that she is strong and courageous as she leaves everything she knows for Cliff's Point. Of course she did not really have a choice. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
