Looks good on skinny guys

I keep coming back to buy more of these (so far I'm up to 16 shirts) because the fit has looked really good on me. The sleeves are so tight on my noodle arms and pecs that it looks like I have some sort of muscle there. :D

However, the quality seems to be continually degrading each time I buy more. The first ones I got were 60/40 cotton/polyester made in Dominican Republic, then they switched to 50/50 made in Haiti. They feel and look about the same, though, so it wasn't the biggest deal. But the last batch I bought had a poor fit in the armpit as well.

Feels like a scam that they're allowed to list products on the same page when they're clearly different (and without any note about it). So I guess...roll the dice and try some if you're a skinny bloke. Maybe you'll get a good batch.

These used to be my favorite Tee shirt.
They used to fit great.
These USED to be 60% cotton 40% polyester.
I have ordered several packs over the past few years.
Suddenly this latest version is 60% RAYON 40% polyester.
(zero % cotton!!!!)
Exact same size i bought exact same tag "Slim Fit Comfort Blend"
NO warning they changed the entire composition.
TOTAL FAIL.
Totally different product, totally different fit!
Totally different feel
You can hold it up and see through its so thin and flimsy
Now its like wearing a saggy panty hose on your body, no thanks!
Before the neck was nice and trim fitting to match the slim fit moniker,
Now it is a loose saggy fit and wide loose easily stretched out neck.
This last batch is totally worthless.
Way to totally ruin a good product Hanes!

Stay away unless you can try it on first! They’ve changed the fit! I’ve been wearing Hanes undershirts my entire adult life as did my dad, they’ve changed minor things over the years I could live with, but this latest sizing really puzzles me. I’m a big guy and wear the XL size but it’s like they cut the sleeves from a young boys t-shirt. The barrel/body fits fine but the sleeves are very tight and only go down to the first crease (where the bicep starts) and it’s uncomfortable. I thought maybe I got a bad batch so I bought some more from a local retailer and it’s the same cut. These were made in Haiti and all my previous were made in the DR right next door. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it but I’m done with Hanes unless I can try them on. You usually aren’t able to unless you open the package in the store first so get some help so they don’t make you pay for them and turn right around and return them! (What a waste of everyone’s time) Good Luck!

I bought these same shirts a year ago and LOVED them. I also got them in black. But I just ordered another set, and the new shirts I received are completely different than the originals. Even though they're still labeled as "Comfortblend," the blend has changed. They used to be 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The shirts were soft and felt high quality.

The new "Comfortblend" doesn't compare. They're branding claims they added "FreshIQ Technology" but that just means they got rid of the cotton and replaced it with cheap rayon, making the new blend 60% rayon and 40% polyester. The new shirts are rougher, thinner, and you can see my nipples in the sunlight.

I'm very disappointed. Amazon should makes Hanes list these shirts as a new product, instead of deceiving customers who purchased them previously. Classic bait-and-switch.

Dear Hanes:
Please pick one manufacturer for your entire line of Undershirts and stay with the same material and cut you did one year ago. I ordered 3 packs of these and two came from Haiti and one from Dom. Republic - all with different material make-ups. Each shirt fit completely differently too and all had relatively poor stitching throughout.

I finally found a Hanes t-shirt that I liked and it was the predecessor of this shirt. The original version of this shirt, for which I purchased many, were made of a blend of polyester and rayon. Loved the slim fit and feel of the shirt. And best of all, it didn't shrink and stayed tucked in. Then I go to reorder and I get the cotton blend thinking it would be okay - well it's not. With every cotton or cotton blend Hanes t-shirt I have ever purchased, these puppies shrink a ton. I am 6' tall and weigh 155 pounds. Went with the large size, which I have in the past with this shirt. First wash, shrunk so that the bottom barely hits the belt line. Now looking for an alternative.

They arrived with loose threads all over them. After the first wash (not even exaggerating) 3 of the 4 shirts became unthreaded in the armpits. Those 3 now have huge holes in the armpits (I won't be wearing them ever again). So typical of what we can expect nowadays... pay more for less. This brand used to be reliable, but it's plain to see they just sell low-grade garbage now. These are thin, low thread count garbage. Do not recommend whatsoever... or the brand, or any brand that cuts quality so they can make more profits for their top earners at the expense of their customers.

This is my first Amazon review, as this is the first product that so badly missed expectations that I felt compelled to write.
I’m a lifelong Hanes Beefy-T fan, and had high hopes that these “signature” tees would have similar quality. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
The fabric is very soft, but that’s the only positive. The shirts are so thin, they are see through. As in, the seams stand out as white stripes against the darker, see-through color of my skin.
Speaking of seams, while the shirts have a reasonable amount of stretch, the seams have none. This is a problem because the shirt size runs one to one and a half sizes small. I have a drawer full of size L and XL beefy tees, and these are smaller than the L. More than simply being slim fit, they are short, and the shoulder width is about 3 inches narrower than a Beefy-T size large.
The net result is that I now own a quintet of shirts that are as snug as a sausage casing with seams that dig into my armpits, while they do an excellent job at showing the world the color of my nipples.
Utterly baffling that Hanes would make such a product. I’ll go back to my OG Beefy-T’s now.

'Upgraded' material and size change.

Bottom line is I recommend you to buy an extra size of that you think.
What happened to me is that I repeated an exact previous purchase (using Amazon repeat purchase system) so I expected to receive the exact same product as before.
But now material has changed feeling like a better quality, more soft and durable material but also tighter. Like it has more synthetic and less cotton.
Now it does not expand a millimeter even after several washings.
So now I have 8 black XL t-shirts, 4 of them brand new and very nice but too small for me (I washed them several times and still)
So this improvement in materials does play on my favor.

Theses shirts are the only ones my husband will buy to wear under his nice work shirts. We have been searching everywhere the last year to find them and haven’t been able to anywhere. Until now!!! Amazon has them and they are as good as they are supposed to be. Great undershirt and no tag! And they hold their shape nicely, with no neck stretching. Buy them!
