Surprisingly good read

Pure Space Opera but surprisingly good read. Fast paced story line, and just enough plot twists to keep it interesting.

Felix North does tend to make 007 look like a Boy Scout, but that’s ok. After all it is Space Opera not serious SF.

My only criticisms are 1) if it was proofread or edited, it doesn’t show. And 2) it does contain a fair amount of profanity.

Don't Waste Your Money on This Series

A typo on every page! No kidding. Sometimes more than one. Sloppy. Sloopy. Sloppy.

This author obviously didn't bother with proofreading before publishing, much less bothering to hire an editor to correct his multitude of errors. You'll find every error imaginable in these books. Misspellings. Words transposed. Left out words. Repeated words. Poor sentence construction. Far too many sentence fragments.

It's a pity really, because this series would have been great reads had they been professionally produced. I actually didn't get past book two. I submitted corrections for book one, but gave up bothering with that in book 2, which I didn't finish.

Missing words and horrible sentence structure is just the beginning of issues with this book. Sometimes it felt like English is the author's second or third language.

With the above and the typos it is doubtful if he did a proof read. I'm not exaggerating when I say that every page had an issue. This was extremely annoying and distracting from the story-line. I was expecting that this was the authors first book, then found out that he has released several prior to thIs book.

I didn't even submit all the corrections.

The story itself is fast-paced and exciting. It could have been great.

Wasn't impressed with this book. The story seemed to take too long to get going and it lacked any real action. Also, I was caught by the number of typos/missing words this work has. Not sure how the editing process went but it missed a couple dozen mistakes. Definitely not like his previous efforts.

Star Scout is a fun and exciting sci-fi adventure. It's not for those who don't like foul language mixed with their fiction. I would definitely recommend another editorial pass (e.g., lots of typos). Fortunately, the plot, dialogue, and quirky characters keep you reading. I'm looking forward to checking out the next book in the series.

Too campy and formulaic, just a long short story with smartass for a hero, with to good to be true luck. The "cutting edge prototype" over 30 years old, and the most incredible luck of the hero. Just way to expected.
