This seems more of a setup novel! Young woman leaves home on a long trip to a fabulous city she has heard tales about in a far land, and her journey there! Encounters with Pirates, more actually, passengers trying to hijack the ship she is on. Her efforts to make preparations for the rest of the trip overland, the people she meets and engages with, another battle with a group of former soldiers turned bandit, then her arrival at her destination, and her discoveries of how different it is to what she has known before! Get it, read it, you won't be sorry! I hope this is developed further!

Like a number of this author’s recent books, it starts building an interesting world with an OP, mostly emotionless MC. The MC moves through this world, but rarely has any actual challenge or experiences any real growth. In the end, it feels empty (and too brief)
