3.0 out of 5 stars*furrows brows*...struggling

I am struggling with this series due to inconsistencies in the story line.
Book 1 I had problems with because of the whole "you must be dead, here is your death certificate and you have zero life outside of the team"... Bishop falls in love, gets the chick and then gets a warm welcome to the team?!?! Also of note: Bishop struggles because he feels he failed his best friend, "Whitlock" I think his name was, and saw his throat slit by a mercenary.
Now bring on book 2... and "Whitlock" has now been blown up instead of having his throat slit??? Add in another round of "you must be dead, here is your death certificate and you have zero life outside of the team"...but you still get the girl...and nothing is said by the powers that be. Toss in the abstract psycho-ness of Apollo and I think I am done.
Book 2 also had far more sex and far less story.
Will book three have "Whitlock" die an a helo crash? Poisoned? Who will be the next to get the girl with no repercussions from the commander? Will 80% of the book simply be sex scenes?
