So so good

Such a great book and series. Kaliya was a prickly character, but I loved her from the beginning. I'm tired of action/paranormal books with main female characters that are supposed to be tough bit are really cutesy and "sassy." Kaliya suffered real trauma as a child, a teen and a young adult and she became a survivor and a warrior. So yeah, I was more than ok with prickly.
I also loved Raphael. The author couldn't have picked a better partner for Kaliya than Raphael. I don't think he softened her. I think he gave her a reason to work through her trauma.
I know the author said there would be no more full length Kaliya books, but I hope she sticks to her promise and gives us a few more Kaliya shorts and novellas. I would especially like a novella that had a bit more romance with Kaliya and Raph. I get why there was not a lot of kissy face in this book (she is going into the final battle), but now that she's brought peace, maybe she (and the readers) deserve a little more kissy face! Or at least a little better epilogue.
Get the book, but really get the whole series and start with the first book. Then again just get all the books from the tribunal world. They're all pretty good!
