smart , slick , well produced police mystery / drama . excellent.
well -paced , polished. very good performances & well -written.
in a sea of mediocrity this stands out.
one false step leads to another & soon a mistake , as they always do ; spirals out
of control , pulling a well rounded out group of characters into a melee of potential
& ongoing personal disasters.
there are 2 somewhat lightweight bloody dead bodies early on.( which are light years from
unpleasant. rather clean & theatrical actually . ) & the dreaded "f-word usage ? fairly quiet &
hardly worth registering at all ; let alone registering as a negative. i tire of these whiny , pearl-clutching
complaints where none are warranted. if anything this completely captivating & binge-worthy
series is polished & restrained. hardly offensive ; no matter what some overly sensitive delicate , fragile soul might possibly be able to stomach.
this is very good . no gratuitous violence or mean , spiteful language in sight. enjoy.

Same PC storyline. All the white cops were corrupt, manipulative liars. The black & asian cops were all picked on, manipulated & betrayed by the white cops so nothing was their fault. The one cop who cared about the truth & the real victim (the 15 year old girl) was lied to, manipulated & treated like dirt by superiors & other cops including her own partner. I'm tired of shows making law enforcement always the bad guys. I'm tired of female cops being portrayed as either pathetic little whiners or testicle breakers nothing in between. I had high hopes for this but I'm not all that interested in watching another season.

I did not care for the emphasis placed on the blood and guts. I did not care at all to hear the "F" word. There should be a notice of warning when that word is going to be used. We are made of Sound and Light. We are vibratory beings, and sounds affect us deeply. I enjoy intelligent mysteries, preferably BBC because they use their heads and not their guns to solve mysteries.

Another director that thinks using a handheld camera for many closeup scenes adds to the drama....IT DOESN'T!!!!!!

I agree with Vicky Evans; "I'm tired of shows making law enforcement always the bad guys. I'm tired of female cops being portrayed as either pathetic little whiners or testicle breakers nothing in between. I had high hopes for this but I'm not all that interested in watching another season."

Strange Plot

Why is that ok that teenage girl took a 5 years old child on the roof??? Why everybody thinks she was the only victim? What if something happened to the boy?
Her farther victimized the single mom and wanted to get away with it. Why is that ok for him not to obey the law and behave the way he did? The cop was wrong saying these words, but the plot is overactive and unbelievable!

Boring yet, Dull

Quite possibly the most boring, dull performance in a lead actress I've seen in a long time. plot line is rubbish, and easily closed. No suspense at all. Bad writing at its core.

So tired of the lame attempts of producing good dramas. Homosexuality story line, check. Don’t call Muslims terrorists, check. Same ole same ole. Don’t waste your time.
