5.0 out of 5 starsMilly Taiden Comes Through With My Favorite Read This Year
Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2021
No Time to Scrooge is the 36th book in the Paranormal Dating Agency series by Milly Taiden. In this book we follow human Charlie & dragon shifter Preston as they find their own happily ever after.
Charlie is a single mother doing her best to raise her daughter alone. They've had more than their share of troubles & she's sworn off men. She's just too busy trying to keep their heads above water & staying off trouble's radar. But then along comes Gerri Wilder, matchmaker extraordinaire. She & a few co-conspirators have other ideas.
Preston is a busy dragon. He has a very successful business to run & has no time for anyone except his family. When his mother is in need of an aide, Gerri Wilder thoughtfully steps in to find just the right woman for the job. Who just happens to be his mate. Can he convince his reluctant mate that she's the one for him? And can he protect her when trouble comes around.
The PDA series is one of my very favorites. You'd think that this far along it would start to loose it's luster a bit, but that's not the case with this series. Now I'll confess, Alpha Geek: Knox is my very favorite Milly book. Up till now other books were close but not quite there. Yep, up till now. No Time to Scrooge is right up there vying for the top spot. While Gerri isn't the main focus of the books, she's an unforgettable character that always comes through for both the story's main characters & for the reader. An older woman that's stylish, confident & successful? Oh yeah! If Gerri's in it, it's a one-click for me. The main characters of this book are likeable & engaging. The supporting characters are a hoot & really kept things humming along. The story line has the right mix of humor, cuteness & romance with enough drama to keep your attention without overwhelming. All in all, this is probably my favorite book so far this year & I encourage you to give it a try.
