One of the best Sci-fi series available

I cannot express how much I have enjoyed the Wayward Galaxy Series. As a 'mature' sci-fi fan, I appreciate the subtle and not so subtle references to the many ground-breaking books, TV & movies of this genre that pop-up from time to time. This series deals with serious issues that confront all of society. For example, how do we get along with people (beings) different from us? The struggles to survive in on a new world that has brought some of the same problems from earth is a constant challenge. The characters are very real and easy to like or at least relatable. If you haven't read the previous two book, I highly recommend that you do. Can hardly wait to see what will happen in book 4.

This was boring, I almost didn't finish the book

When this series started I thought this was going to be a great series. Then the second book came out and all I read was small-unit tactics and endless military jargon. Worse, the tactics and goals made no sense at all. I could go on about the illogical strategies, the endless enemy bases now numbering no less than 30 around the planet, and the fact that space travel, unless they have FTL, should take decades not months. But mostly since the enemy seems to have total space superiority, why don't they simply drop a rock on the settlement and be done with it? Anyway I almost fell asleep half way through this book. I had to push myself to the end but I'm done with the series. It is a complete disappointment to me.

Solid character development, story-line, and with good action...the adventures from the first two books continues! The biggest problem I have with all of the Wayward Galaxy books is they are far too short! Or maybe it's simply that I can't stop reading them? Definitely on my recommend list for action sci-fi.

It is like watching every 80s/early 90s action movie looped together in one awesome setting! The characters bring the story to life, they are like friends you know and the laughs are a good trip back to a fun time. The story keeps you turning the pages and the humor has you laughing and groaning at times, but it builds the story to the point that you can't put this series down! Never want to see it end.
