Magic is broken in Faeville. Tia did it. Completely on accident. Who knew she could break a world with wonky portal magic. Turns out neighbors literally had to come together and combine magic to save their world. While they save the world, many lives were lost. Leaving the world a little broken in the aftermath.
I could not put this down until I finished the very last page. My goodness...this gem takes the reader on one doozy of a ride filled with action, adventure, highs and lows, heartbreak, magic, revelations, humor, surprises and lots of adrenaline along the way. Suffice to say there's never a dull moment! We see characters we've grown to love over the course of these books truly come into their own. There are definitely a few surprises I didn't see coming that had my jaw on the floor and tears in my eyes....my oh my, I cannot wait to see what's next in this brilliant series!!!! There's a slight cliffhanger at the end, but nothing too crazy 😉 . This is what I would call an emotional rollercoaster....so buckle up now and prepare for the ride of a lifetime. It's CERTAINLY worth the price of admission!!! Go ahead and treat yourself now.
I absolutely adore this entire series! Tia finally made it back. Sadly, there was some heartbreak and grief and many were lost but at least they managed to save all the kingdoms. I’m so glad this series is continuing, it’s one of my top 5 favorite series for sure!!

I was super excited to get more romance in this book finally. I feel like it took so long to get them to this point but I'm not a hundred percent into how fast its moving now. There needs to be a happy medium between the two but regardless I was happy that Tia and Keir are finally showing signs of a relationship in this book. We weren't introduced to any new characters this time, but we did see all the old characters from the other books in the series. At this point there are so many characters in this book series that I need a family tree. I really would like to see the authors incorporate one in the books in the future. Even with the confusion I was glad to see all of them interact with each other. I feel like the characters could have had a bit more character growth but there's a whole other book coming out yet so I'm holding out for some more deeper moments of thought. Keir was the one who did the most changing so far in this series and I love him to pieces. However, I feel like Tia is too perfect at times. She didn't have her powers for most of this series but even when she did have them, she was still this super strong confident bad ass woman. Her only flaw through the series as of now is she's terrible at portal magic. I would have liked to see her struggle a little more and be a little less perfect.
Plotwise this book was slightly predictable, but it was still very enjoyable. I knew that her family would be willing to help this strange unknown kingdom, but I was hoping for some more action or conflict. I felt like at some point in this book we should have gotten some kind of plot twist that was more shocking. I wasn't expecting the grief and heartbreak of losing some of the characters in this book. I think I felt the death more than our characters did. I thought for sure that this book would be the one with someone betraying someone but atlas I was wrong.
The way this book ended made me wonder what is coming next. Everything felt so tied up that I'm not sure what will be the next installment. I'm hoping whatever it is that it's emotional and the characters have some more depth as they adventure into whatever this wonderful world building has in store for them. So far, all these books have been a fun, quick and enjoyable read that I would recommend to anyone who loves fantasy.
With the fire plains closing in and the great ship meant to save them all burned to a crisp, all hope seems lost on Tia, Gully, and Veren ever reaching home, let alone bringing help to save Lenya. In a last-ditch effort, Keir recruits a daring captain, his daughter, and a handful of crew hands to carry a small delegation across the vale of storms, hoping they all make it through unchartered territories alive. But the seas prove as rough as their reputation and only five make it through alive. When at last they reach the barren frozen lands of Iskalt, their new mission is against time, to save not only Lenya, but all of the four kingdoms as well. In a race against time, and the little remaining magic in Lenya, the twins, along with their friends and family, have the fight of their lives ahead of them. And not everyone makes it through.
This was a riveting addition to the Queens of the Fae series, one of the best. It's a journey full of hope, love, and heartbreak. One of the little things that I loved was a tip to help relieve nausea, which I read while nauseous, which helped both Keir and myself. I can't wait to see what comes after that cliffhanger, I really expected to be saying goodbye to these characters. And for the record, I will never forgive them for what they did to Toby.
Fae’s Return had me anticipating another great book in the series but I wasn’t prepared for what was to come.
Through hardship and struggle comes motivation to unite forces through great perils. Be prepared that not everyone will make it through this journey. But for those who do not, they will be remembered.
I was expecting this book to be the end of Tierney’s journey and the end of what would be to come but alas, there is more. And of course there’s a cliffhanger, which made me start screaming at my phone like a mad person.
This story is absolutely incredible, like all of the rest of Michelle Macqueen’s stories. I haven’t found a story of hers I haven’t liked. I was so eager to read this book, I had it downloaded a minute after seeing the email. It’s a must read, there’s a lot of plot points that get uncovered in this book, a lot of questions that get answers. I am thrilled there is more to come but cliffhangers always make me antsy to know more.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was truly emotional roller coaster. The hardships, the laughs, the love, the loss, and the utter heartbreak. I honestly don't remember that last time a book had me crying this much. I never felt so the "emotional damage" so whole heartly. Michelle and Melissa have crafted an absolute pull on your heart strings book. Tia, Keir, Gully, and Eavha all hold a special place in my right there with the O'Shea brothers, Brea, and Myles. Also, I just want to say I love Loch as a dad. The conversation that Loch has with Keir had me dying with laughter, poor Keir he was so confused by Loch responses, now that is a dad that knows his daughter. Lastly, I hope that the ones that suffered losses in this book please give me the relief of giving them happiness in the next, I can't have that sadness on my soul.
Love it love it love it. What a truly “ feel good book “ This was. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit. Tierney rules ok. This really was a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions but so, so worth the journey. Lots of highs and lows, heartache and joy and love. I could gush all day but I read this in one hit, finishing at 3 a.m. I haven’t done that for a looooong while. All my favourite characters in one episode. So thoroughly recommended.Great
