Thrilling romance

I loved the anticipation seeking the truth behind what separated Liam and Coral 5 years before they end up investigating a case together. Immediately we find Liam has not stopped loving Coral but it'd take Coral time to heal from Liam leaving her 5 years ago with no answers. The tension between the former lovers is almost tangible, Coral slowly let's Liam get closer the more they spend time digging into the case. Some secrets are revealed, raw emotions and drama surface but these lovers work to be together. Overall a good thrilling romance.

This story focuses on Coral, Stacy's sister from the Black Pearl series and Liam, her long lost love. Liam abruptly ended his relationship with Coral 5 years ago with no explanation. Now their paths cross again as Coral works on a case involving the murder of one of Liam's employees.

The book chronicles the mystery of the death in Liam's company, how it ties into someone trying to kill Coral, what Liam dropped Coral 5 years ago, and how Liam fights to win back Coral's heart.

I was glad the author focused on Coral's story but I wasn't feeling the connection between Coral and Liam. They have lots of lust between them but I didn't really feel the love. Also, Coral kept changing her mind about being with Liam and in the next sentence would be having sex with him. To be honest, she was so wishy-washy about the relationship that it drove me crazy!!! Sometimes Liam's over protectiveness got on my nerves as well, and it didn't seem to fit the plot well because he knew she was an agent just like he was and could take care of herself. The mystery element of the plot worked well but I didn't think the book was very romantic, hence my only giving it 3 stars.

If you suspend your beliefs about how the CIA, military & security firms work, you'll enjoy the story.

Tiffany never disappoints on GREAT characters but she pulled a Blue Saffire and made an action adventure novel w/o doing any research or even being familiar w/the genre so it felt EXTREMELY cartoony. With that said, I did read the book twice & bought it. I try to buy a few books/year by authors that I access thru Kindle Unlimited. They are worthy of REAL PAY.

Tiffany is sometimes also guilty of poor editing not just research. Here are a few examples that I noted:

Calling CIA an abbreviation...NO, it is an acronym.
Referring to the pres. of Mexico as Excellency...NO, it would be "His Excellency".
Wrong word usage for "Taught" instead of "taunt" ass.
Describing Chess as having 16 pcs...NO, chess has 32-pcs, 16=pcs per player.

She is hard and uses anger to cover up her pain. This is what makes this book different from the other romance books. The author wrote a wonderful attention keeping story that was full of drama and suspense. The mind boggling drama =of who done it and why just shows one that control, money, greed and power corrupts absolutely. One can lea a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Liam was made to drink the koolaide but he never forgot the flavor that he loved, even after five years

Excellent writing, realistically developed characters with real depth and emotions with a great storyline and a love so deep it's heart fulfilling.

After battling and defeating death Cora is on a mission. Getting a new contract for her security company she shares with her family, it's something she needs to crack the case on a killer "ghost" who wants her dead and man she loved a long time ago that wants her again. Loving her and then abandoning her, Liam has regretted his decision to walk away from her for the past five years. The moment he sees her again he knows in his arms is where she's meant to be. As Cora fights for her life, Liam fights for her heart.

A great story about second chances at love. I throughly enjoyed Cora's character. She was tough and strong with just enough vulnerability to make her sweet and all kinds of amazing. Now-a-days it's the big tough bad guys that take the lead and take your heart but in this novel it's Cora that steals a piece of your soul. To see this female ex-CIA Agent and total bad ass fall for Laura was so endearing. Liam's character was the alpha male in every right way but not to dominating to the point that his character override hers. Their characters personality and chemistry was the perfect match.

As a bi-racial women, I'm slightly skeptical of reading about interracial relationships ... I'm always afraid the fine line between reality and fiction won't be blurry enough but this author manages to blend them perfectly. With her flawless and seamless writing, deep invigorating characters and well executed written story, Cora's "mocha colored skin" and Liam's "blond hair and green eyes" don't make a difference to the beauty that is their love and story.

This is my first novel by this author but not my last. Well done !!!

I knew I would love Coral, her appearance in Black Butterfly was badass! I was so happy to see her story existed; since I’m reading Tiffany’s older stuff now. Either way- everything about this character was intriguing and loving. She was so opposite of the typical heroine and it made her even more memorable.

Coral and Liam were adorable, I loved their connection. Even the Nate plot was perfection. The way Liam dealt with it and how she didn’t bow down to Liam. She handed him his ass on a few occasions and I LIVED!! The fact that he was attracted to her strength, her badassery. Made this one of my favs. I stan for Coral!!!

This was a really good read! I'd have to say it was one of the best interracial books I've read. So many of the interracial reads out there center around the same storyline, surrogate baby this, billion dollar lover this,blah blah blah. Even though this also had a billionaire in it, it wasn't the premise for the story. The storyline was so different from what Ive read and it was believable. I also wasn't expecting all the sex scenes! Majority of the interracial romances that I've read that were full length standalone novels usually took way long to get to the sex scenes. Not saying this book jumps right in with it, but it flows and it makes sense when it happens. It's not for the heck of it. I loved Liam he was hot and I love how dominant he was with Coral without being over bearing or disrespectful because Coral was a bad ass all by herself. A strong woman needs a strong man and Liam and Coral's relationship demonstrated that really well.
SPOILER ALERT!
I was not expecting Liam to have a daughter either but it made me love him more.
I haven't had really good experiences with interracial romances, they've been hit or miss for me, but this was really good aside from a few typos and missing words, and one or two discrepancies in physical descriptions of the characters, those mistakes didn't take away from the story. I loved it so much that I wrote a review which I haven't done in awhile!
