Exactly what I was looking for!

I've very familiar with Thibaut Meurisse's books, so much so, that I was glad to receive an advance copy of this one to review. I'm glad I did. This book is exactly what I was looking for when it comes to a practical guide on learning. So much so, that I went ahead and purchased a copy for my personal Kindle library.

The strength of this book lies in the fact that Thibaut sticks to what is important about learning and offers immediately applicable "tools" to use, and all of this without the "fluff" of endless stories or allegories that most books make you wade through to get to what you can really use. This book is laid out in a way that makes it easy to find the exact "learning tool" I need from this well stocked toolbox!

One of the chapters I particularly enjoyed was "Overcoming Information Overload." I found a list of things I could easily apply from this chapter to become a much better steward of my overall learning process.

Thibaut has knocked it out of the park once again with yet another book worthy of being part of this mastery series.

A Guide to Help You Learn What You've Been Putting Off

Perhaps because I don’t have much trouble learning and/or because I’m fairly self disciplined, I had trouble maintaining my interest in this book. It is well written and makes a lot of good points, so I suppose for someone who has had trouble learning or has been putting off making the effort to learn something new and difficult, this book would be a great help in getting you on the right track. It takes a productivity approach to learning, and lays out steps to take to get you started and keep you moving forward. It’s just that at this point in my life, it had trouble holding my interest.

The author doesn’t delve into the different learning styles, which would have been helpful, but it’s not a bad book.

Thibaut has done it again in his mastery series! As a mental wellness coach, facilitator, educator, and lifelong learner, learning will always be a significant part of my identity. However, as the author so eloquently put it, many of us are not taught how to learn, so we go through life struggling with how to learn, why we keep forgetting things we have supposedly learned, and why recall and retention are so tricky.

Thibaut breaks his book down into digestible chapters along with a workbook to dig in and work on some learning obstacles. In my career, I'm constantly trying to find the latest updated and relevant data to pass on to my clients and students, and sometimes the reading process can be quite overwhelming and time-consuming.

Thibaut teaches you how to prioritize your learning, including setting goals before the learning process begins, so you know exactly what you are hoping to achieve. I truly appreciate this book as well as the mastery series, as they have each helped me in my self-development journey.

I enjoy learning, and this book is an excellent resource for the business professional, college students, life coaches, speakers, or anyone that want to improve their ability to learn. There is also a lot of practical information in this book that is easy to apply for developing an effective learning plan. I have read a few books about learning in the past, but this one is my favorite. I will be referencing this book whenever I need to develop a learning plan for any major subject that I want to learn more effectively.

This book makes some very important points that are going to save me time and money and make me even more effective in my learning process compared to what I've been doing. It makes some very important points about the way we go about consuming information that completely makes sense but simply has not been my natural way of doing things. This is somewhat of a paradigm shift and quite life-changing for me. These changes will be even easier ways of doing things than what I've been doing. It does require me to change my habits of information consumption and to reprioritize what's important though. Not only is this good information but it's super encouraging and I will be sure to start implementing these practices immediately. Not to mention it's nicely laid out to go back and reference so that I don't just have to remember everything in this book in order to make a plan to implement changes. The action steps are quite useful for that as well. That's a feature that the author uses in a lot of his books and I find it very helpful.

I have read several books in Thibault's mastery series and have also read his productivity series. Master Your Learning is another winner. I especially liked the chapter about avoiding bright shiny objects as this is a particular problem of mine. I think I have a new understanding of my problem. I look forward to studying this book and using the many concepts in my learning and in my teaching.

Very well organized book that covers a lot of learning aspects in a logical order. I’m impressed how this book is giving me feedback about my own learning methodology. I realized that I have many learning issues and I wasn’t ever aware. Another impressive aspect of this book is how the author involves the impact of the mindset and emotions on the learning process (very relevant to me as I have already read the book “Master your emotions” from the same author). This is a book that I will definitely read again. I have a digital copy but I plan to buy a hard one … because more convenient for me.

Another Great book by Thibaut that really hits the key notes of the different ways that we can learn things, and how some approaches are better than others for different types of people. I particularly like that there are action steps throughout his books that mean you take time to really digest and understand what he is putting out there.
