To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The author writes these books well so the story flows easily. They're slightly longer than her short stories so slightly better priced but...
Fundamentally the women in this series are sold for sex and reproduction and have no choice. I could get behind the trope if there was some redeeming feature to the main male character but, in this book especially, there isn't much redemption to be found. She sacrifices herself for her twin brother, only to be sold by her brother in law to the male lead. The latter makes no real attempt at even kindness in the narrative.
What doesn't really make sense in these books is why having delivered an heir, the women don't then decide to end the sexual slavery as permitted by their contracts. The story spend so little time developing anything other than the sex in their relationship that surely the FMC would at this stage decide to leave or re-negotiate. It would at least introduce a degree of tension or drama into a story which has relatively little risk.
