I absolutely loved Mine to Have by Natasha Madison; it is an incredible second chance at first love story. It is the first book in her Southern Wedding series. I loved Mine to Have and am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Natasha Madison showed that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put Mine to Have down, and I loved every moment on every page. Who does not love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? My favorite part is how the title of the book is incorporated into the story by a simple statement from the blurb. I really enjoy how the book is told in the first person from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Mine to Have is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. Mine to Have is filled with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Natasha Madison did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Mine to Have is the story of Travis Baker and Harlow Barnes, veterinarians, who met and fell in love when they were students in veterinarian school. Travis broke up with Harlow because he did not want to have a long-distance relationship and did not want to Harlow to move away from her family, fearing that she would come to regret that decision. When they were together, Travis asked Harlow to promise that she would be by his side on the happiest day of his life. So, when Harlow receives an invitation to Travis wedding to Jennifer Garner, she responds that will attend. Multiple mishaps happen the day of the wedding, the worst being an allergic reaction to Jennifer and a trip to the emergency room where Jennifer confesses that she cannot marry Travis. Travis returns to the venue and announces the cancellation of his wedding and finds Harlow tending bar with his best friend, Bennett. I love the chemistry between Harlow and Travis. Seeing Harlow, Travis realizes that his heart has always belonged to her. They spend his wedding night together, and the following morning his sisters Shelby, Clarabella, and Presley interrupt their together time and Clarabella offers to take Harlow to get her car. After they broke up following veterinary school, Harlow deleted Travis’s contact information and blocked him on her phone. Since she is not responding to his texts or phone calls, Travis shows up at her veterinary clinic. They decide to try the long-distance relationship, but life keeps getting in the way of their time together. I love the decisions that both Harlow and Travis make to have a life with one another. My favorite part of Mine to Have are the two epilogues that go above and beyond the happily ever after, and that one is told from Travis’s perspective and the other from Harlow. I especially love how the second epilogue hints at the identity of the next Baker sibling who will walk down the aisle, or not. I love the characters in Mine to Have, the characters feel like family and friends. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Baker siblings, especially their teasing that made me laugh. I loved all the characters in Mine to Have and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love family that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Mine to Have, who does not love second chance at first love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story and am so looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Melissa, Book Boyfriend and Husband Make Three
4.0 out of 5 stars This author continuously outdoes herself

Mine To Hold is the second book in Madison’s new Southern Wedding series, and it seems as though this will be another instance where this author continuously outdoes herself.

I’m completely in love with the premise of this series. I can’t say I’ve ever heard of another where the series was based on weddings. A front row seat as a wedding doesn’t happen, but it’s clear Shelby wasn’t marrying the man she should have been. She and Ace were always going to end up together; it was just a matter of time.

Shelby was sweet and I adored the relationship she has with her sisters. Their personalities are so distinct, making their banter highly entertaining. Some seem to say whatever comes to mind, while others tend to think before they speak. Outspoken and shy, a little blend of opposites, one thing is abundantly clear: the love they have for one another is endless.

Ace was an effortless blend of swoony and alpha. He and Shelby had the banter that comes with knowing someone for a long time. They fit together so seamlessly, and even before they ever touched one another, it was abundantly clear that it was always meant to be the two of them.

This was exactly what I needed today. A world I could get lost in and while there were moments that pulled at my feels there weren't any sort of heavy emotions. There was entertaining banter that made me giggle, and there were some super steamy moments that kept me enthralled. For the most part, it was lighthearted, and as with all of Madison’s books, a sense of being a part of the fictional family on the pages is a comfort that will stay with you long after reading the last word.

Mine To Hold is the quintessential best friends to lovers story. An enthralling blend of intoxicating chemistry, a swoony hero, a sassy heroine, entertaining banter, sprinkles of feels, and super steamy. I can’t wait for the upcoming books in this series.

Mine to Have
Travis and Harlow
A second chance romance
If you are looking for a sweet second chance story, this is the perfect book for you.
This is part two of their story. It’s not necessary to read the earlier book, but it does fill in a lot of their story.

After reading Mine to Kiss, I really didn’t care for Travis much. I understood his thinking, and for a college senior, it probably made perfect sense at the time. He just didn’t realize the true consequences of what he had done.
Four years later, he’s moved on, sort of. A fiancée who he claims to love, a wedding he really doesn’t care about. On his wedding day when everything that can go wrong does, he’s not nearly as broken hearted as he should be. Seeing his former girlfriend show up at the wedding has shifted things in his heart.
Harlow left college with a broken heart, having had the love of her life unexpectedly dump her. She is absolutely shocked when an invitation to his upcoming wedding shows up in her mail. The last thing she wants is to watch Travis marry someone else. But she made a promise to him four years earlier. And she is a woman who keeps her word. Even if it breaks her fragile heart even further.
Once they see each other at the wedding those old feelings are right back in front of them. It doesn’t take long before they are back in each other’s arms.
But they are still left with the same problem they had in college. If they continue seeing each other, it’s going to be a long distance romance. He won’t ask her to leave her large, intrusive but loving family, and her thriving veterinary practice. And she won’t ask him to leave his family and practice. So what’s a couple in love to do?
This was a very sweet, drama free, angst free romance. Just two people who loved, lost and found each other again.
It does have a very happy ending. Dual points of view.
Two epilogues that give us a brief glimpse into their future and sets up the next book.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

Ah-mazing!! I absolutely love this story. I think I’m obsessed actually. I’ve read it twice! NM had me completely captivated from the start with this second chance romance. It is by far one of the best I have read. This story will draw you in and keep you turning the page.

I don’t even know where to begin to explain how or why, but Travis and Harlow are everything to me. The first few chapters were so angst fueled I was chipping off my nail polish in anticipation of what I was hoping would happen.

I mean seriously, it starts off with Harlow being invited to her ex’s wedding! I don’t know how Harlow found it in her to attend Travis’s wedding. My heart just about jumped out of my chest when she got the invite. No one alive would ever keep a promise to be there for their ex on the happiest day of their life, except for her. She is by far an amazing woman. She loved Travis with her whole heart. It was no different for Travis. The reason they broke up sucks. I wanted to be mad at Travis, but as soon as Harlow comes into the room everything just changes. It was like magic. He feels it and fights for it. Travis is sweet, swoony and sexy!

NM had me by my proverbial book balls. She had me feeling for both Harlow and Travis, laughing at the dumpster fire that was Travis’s wedding, wishing for a womance with T’s awesome sisters, and cheering for Jackie! Harlow and Travis have such great chemistry, especially in the bedroom, balcony, car, bathtub…well you get the picture.

So yeah, this is a must read y’all!! This was the best second chance romance I’ve ever read. I am so excited for book 2 in the Southern Weddings Series. That ending was an HEA sundae with a cherry bomb on top, which I will now be calling a Shelby special.

No cliffy, but leads into book 2 of the series. I received an ARC of this book. This is my honest opinion.

Receiving an invitation to the wedding of the ex who broke her heart years ago is a surprise, an unwelcome surprise. But Harlow made Travis a promise back then to be there with him for the best day of his life, so, that means she's going to his wedding. The wedding that isn't hers...

Seeing the ex he never got over waltz into his wedding has thrown Travis' world off its axis. Finding out his fiancée is having an allergic reaction and has left the wedding is nothing compared to seeing Harlow again, looking even more beautiful than the day he pushed her out of his life. Perhaps this is a wakeup call. Perhaps he needs to rethink his life, and realize Harlow has always been the one.

Sweet, yummy, and a bit of a gut punch - Mine to Have is a wonderful way to start off this new series. I loved reading as Harlow and Travis worked toward their second chance, having seen each other once again and realized they still loved each other. It may have been a bumpy ride, and they may have had to work through some pain left over from the past, but in the end, they made it and I loved it, loved them. I can't wait for more of this series now.

No cliffhanger
Standalone though part of a larger series
Told from both POVs
College sweethearts second chance

I stumbled upon this book and I’m glad I did. It pulled me in from the start. Harlow and Travis were college sweethearts but as they were set to graduate Travis breaks up with Harlow out of the blue. Four years later she gets an invite to his wedding crushing her all over again, but she goes anyway…only to see the craziest of events take place.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was that the characters seemed to be doing it more than actually talking. I never thought that would put me off, I absolutely love a steamy scene or ten lol, but these two went at it from sun up to sun down and at a point it just felt like those scenes took over the storyline.

The author did do a great job of ending the book with a bit more romance and love though.l, and it should be noted it wasn’t off putting enough for me not to pre-order the next book in the series, so definitely worth the read!

“Maybe the right one was at the wrong time.”

“Or maybe she was the right one all along, and I was stupid and scared she wouldn’t pick me.”

Harlow promised Travis that she would be there for his special day, no matter how hard it would be for her to watch him marry someone else. 4 years before everyone thought that Harlow and Travis would be the ones getting married, except it didn’t happen. Travis didn’t want to make Harlow pick between him and her family, so he broke up with her and walked away. When everything that can go wrong, does before the wedding even has a chance to start, everyone finds their way to the reception where everyone enjoys being together again since college. Somehow the universe or maybe fate alone have brought them back together with a tiny push. The problem is, they both have busy vet practices now and live six hours away from each other so actually making it work a second time is going to be harder than the first.

What a great story. I loved Travis and his true love for Harlow. His sisters had me cracking up and knowing that it had always been Harlow even when he was supposed to be getting married made it extra special. They have that true love that is set in the stars. Harlow never understood why Travis up and broke up with her and when she finally learns it becomes imperative that she shows him how wrong he was. All Travis has seen is how close she is to her family and never wanting to make her pick and all Harlow knew was the happiness that Travis always gave her. I just love second chances when it was the right person at the wrong time.

Mine to Have had me all in from the first chapter! I was intrigued, surprised and worried what the heck before I even hit chapter two! Travis and Harlow had magnetic chemistry near or far and it was awesome! By the way can I just say really Jen???? You need to read this book for the hospital, the morning after, the bbq, the cabin and the ring alone. These two have an awesome family and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I love this cover and adore this couple! Travis & Harlow are two of my favorite vets!

I had so much fun reading this book. From the "what else could go wrong" to "the worm". I was anticipating the bloopers more so than anything else. IJS!!!! Travis needed all the shots plus the laughs and fun in between.

Harlow was a gem but I myself can relate to what she did. I made that promise as well and am happy I don’t have to cash it in. I would definitely be objecting but maybe not because who says he is the same.

The sexy time in this book was adventurous and often. Made it even better for reading. 69's all around.

Now I am ready for Shelby story.
