I read the 1st 3 books of this series already and half of the 4th book, but they were so juicy that I missed some tasty morsels and had to turn back to start this series over again! I'm more in love with Dante and Lizzy than before! I'm sure I'll feel like about all the brothers! However I was definitely sleeping on Gio,Ny and Jace before so this time I've got my eyes on them more carefully! Doubling back also prolongs the end for me too. Blue Saffire you are a series Queen!

Some Romance books are like scary movies in which you have to suspend all logic to enjoy it which is fine but sometimes the plot holes are so ridiculous it takes you out the story. Carleen & Dario were NOT best friends. They never ever confided in each other about anything. They didn't trust each other with any info. These are 2 people thrown together by forces bigger than them. Its why there's no emotional stakes to their relationship. In fact neither of them confided in anyone. Dario never talked to his twin, carleen didn't feel comfortable with her own cousin. Toni found out about the pregnancy on her own speaking of which I know hidden pregnancies have romance writers in a choke hold but why would carleen think this would work when she goes to work every day at a public place that the baby's father co-owns where his family & friends work & frequent? Authors make a point of telling us how intelligent these women are by giving them ivy league education and/or highbrow careers & then proceeds to have them willfully dumb the rest of the story. Essentially Carleen is a moron but she has to be for any of this to work. We got two families that are supposed to be close-knit separately but they treat each other like cooperate espionage so there's no familial bonding that feels like family. There's no stakes here because there's no love expressed. In effort to create intrigue all the relationships suffer.

Wew chile, this series is so damn good, this storyline begins to get to the crux of things 🤔. Carlee aka Oopsies is a weapon, but she doesn't remember and Gio wants to jog her memory 😲. Dario for appearance is set to be the next Don, Gio is brilliant 🤗.
Dario reads Carlee's diary, grants her wish 💥💋👅🔥❤️, she ends up pregnant. Dario is still curious, full of questions, wants answers, Carlee is asking questions, starting to remember, secrets are being revealed, the real father steps forward, the dead appear 😳. This storyline ends with another cliffhanger 😉. On to the next book 🤗.

The first book threw me off but this book got me straight, I now know that Carleen was ok she didn't get taken but now I got more questions about who is pulling the strings to kill the family but most of all why did their mom not show up an let all her sons know she was ok, an is Jace their real brother or is he just the boy that his mom adopted that was their mom's lover child. If the grandad isn't the Don than who is the Don.? My other question is what is going on between Gio,Ry, and Jace. That is a crazy story because everyone think Gio is gay but then he got dolls, that everyone claims that they are the most beautiful women they seen. So what is up with that an why everyone think that he is sleeping with all those women an a guy. But when their moms dad tell the story he is like No that's not true. I want the real story an why is he making power moves and who kill Dante wife and why was Dante mother-in-law was in the freezer and who stole the money from Dante company, I know who taken it his dead wife but she said that she taken if for her lover but the dad said something different. So who they gave the money to that was stolen from Dante?. I got questions but I hope book 3 gives the answers. I would read this book again because of the twists and turns that get you hook so quick that you go ok sex part but you want the answer to who is doing what? How did Lucus raise his sons but be call uncle without anyone knowing he was the boys dad. That blew me away . I look forward to book 3. To all happy reading.😋

MY BEST FRIEND’S WISH is the first book I’ve read by this author. I also read the series out of order as UNEXPECTED LOVERS is the first book but it didn’t detract to have read the two books in reverse.

Dario and Carleen are life long best friends. As early as they can recall, there’s been a bond between them that has been unshakeable. They’re also in love with each other and have been for a long while but Dario believes that his family situation makes being with her impossible. Carleen thinks that Dario isn’t attracted to Black women so while she loves him, she believes that him being attracted to her will never happen. Both have misconceptions about the others feelings which has them as close as lovers while not being lovers. That changes one night when Dario stumbles upon a secret and with that revelation, best friends become much more to each other.

MY BEST FRIEND’S WISH is entertaining on levels. The protagonists have strong chemistry. The world building is good, which incorporates the prior novel and sets up the next story in this universe. There’s outside forces that create drama for the couple that heightens the suspense of the story.

I recommend this book.
