What an amazing story to start off a series!! The world building was amazing, and I love how Olivia meets each of the two men who are introduced in this book. I like how we really get to connect and understand the different characters through the multiple POV's as well. So it's not just Olivia's point of view. That helps really create a nice, well-rounded character who is easy to connect with. Understanding their pasts helps us understand who they are now and why they respond to different situations the way they do.
I also really like how it's not all instant love between everyone who has been introduced so far. There is tension between the guys, though there is definitely a bromance developing.
This book ended with a cliffhanger right after an amazing action scene and before we even got to meet any of the other men who are to be Olivia's mates, so I can't wait to read the next book!

Overall, definitely a 5 star read!!!

Decent start

I had seen this book show up in my recommended list a few times so I decided to give it a try. It didn’t even dawn on me that this is written in the same world as another set of books that I didn’t finish the third book of.

I will say the FMC is likable she is just the right amount of independent but also dealing with her insecurities. One of the MMC‘s Jonah I cannot stand. His character is very immature and whiny, and it would be fine if he wasn’t a 29-year-old man. His character annoyed me so much. There were moments where I skipped scenes with him because he was just childish to the point I kept forgetting how old he was he gave off the vibe of being between the years of 18 and 21 and that wasn’t the case.

All in all it was a decent read. Am I eager to read the next book not so much will I probably.

I hate cliffhangers, otherwise this would be five stars. Just enough unanswered questions to keep me intrigued to know more. I also loved how fated mates needed time to care for one another before getting hot and heavy. Much more believable and relatable. Fantastic story, can’t wait to know what happens next.

Okay so this surprised me and hooked me immediately.
I have a feeling that this ties into a previous series that covers her brothers and her ‘origin’ story but I followed it fine without it.
I absolutely loved Jonah. Naughty little author boy. 😘 This has been the second book I’ve read where a main character is an author of romance books and I feel I need more of this trope. Plus add in the twist of their career connections and I’m in heaven.
I also can’t get enough of how sweet both guys are. Not alpha at all but super sweet and supportive.
So a rh paranormal romance with a wolf shifter, dragon shifter and a mermaid turned kraken. Magic, shifters, spice and a good shot of action suspense at the end.
A great start to a fun series and thank god book two is out because that ending has me jumping immediately into book 2.

Ends on a cliffhanger. Multiple points of view. When the doctors tell her there isn't much time left before she can no longer shift back from her kraken form, she gets a little depressed. Then she meets a guy who takes her out where she bumps into a woman who completely changes her course of life. Now she is on a quest with her new man to figure out the prophecy the woman told her. This book she meets 2 men. I liked it.

I personally don't like it when you have to go find your mates one by one. It makes for the one/s that have been their longer know you more or have a hard time bringing someone new in. You treat the others differently and you're more hesitant with the ones you know are your mates. You second and third guess or say "I don't want someone like him. " Makes it hard to enjoy. Also that ending was just...bad for lack of a better word.
