How customer reviews and ratings work

Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

5.0 out of 5 starsOh, heck yeah! This was a good one!
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2022
This one was good, the first of the series was good, I want more! Young man with no inheritance to look forward to, goes off to join the Royal Bowmen, finds a Magic sword that helps him do several heroic deeds. Then the Prince decides he wants the sword, and from there things get messy! get it, read it, you won't be sorry, except for the having to wait for the next one to come out!

Mr. Thomas A. Mckewen
1.0 out of 5 starsNot a patch on the first book in the series
Reviewed in the United States on June 19, 2022
This one was really disappointing compared to the first book in this series. It felt to me like it had been written by someone else. There is so much boring detail that leads nowhere. Who wants to read about details of trips that don't lead to any action then boring details about travelling to family gatherings. The humor was childish in most cases and the conversation between the characters was very stilted. The plot is very thin and most of the many characters don't seem to contribute to the story.

Feels like a book that has been written then padded out to generate a bigger page count. The style of writing in this one grated on my nerves. Don't expect much magic but there are a bunch of military engagements that are detailed but left me feeling that the author was talking down to me but then again I read a lot of fantasy/adventure books and most of the detail was obvious to me.

Can't recommend this one at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ithria Expanded

We see more of the world of Ithria in this book and get to see more mechanics that govern this universe. I greatly appreciated the map and it would be great if book one had one also. I personally would like to see both MCs link up in another book and become an item.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice world-building follow-up...

This second book of Ithria has more of a world-building focus to it, but is still well-paced with quite a few action beats. Thanks for writing it and looking forward to more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very much enjoyed both books in this series

While at first I wished the second book continued the character from the first novel, I quickly came to like Kyron the bowman as much as Taroniah. Will be getting any further parts of this series as soon as they are availible

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bits, but where is this going?

As a stand-alone novel, this is fine. We have a likeable hero, and he fights, learns, and grows. There are many engaging moments.

But, we come to the end with Kyron having avoided most of the big issues facing him. And so the many incidents don't add up to much.

Meanwhile, we were left hanging after book one. Its heroine, Taroniah, isn't ever mentioned by name and is only apparently still extant by implication. Heck, this book doesn't even happen on the same continent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Enjoyable Series!

This is a wonderful book, in a very enjoyable series--its only weakness is the alternating of major characters--I wish he had written one series for Taroniah, and the next for Kyron, I don't like them alternating as it disrupts the storylines!

I read for fun. I read voraciously. There are writers who have great ideas but can’t tell a story for squat. This guy tells Good stories and has great ideas. I look forward to each new offering and I have yet to be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not sure what to think

If you are expecting a follow on to the previous book you are out of luck. This story is in the same world setting up what I assume to another main character for the series. Clearly both books are meant to be the back story of the character whom one assumes will meet sometime in figure books.

I enjoyed the story but not as much as the previous story. Honestly you can clear read both books out of order as it does not appear to matter.

This book has large sections of information that I cannot decide why it is relevant. Long description of pictures on a wall, big section about towns I could not track and battles they had. None of that information seemed to matter, perhaps it will in another book.

Anyway if you enjoyed the first book you will likely enjoy this one.

This is a good read and I recommend it. You just need to know that this author is a little on the wordy side of things
