Kerri Sullivan is looking for a miracle. Her son Cody is dying from a
deadly progressive disease and the doctor who was just days away from
finding a cure no longer has the lab or the funds to continue his
research. A mother who refuses to give up, Kerri hatches a plan to
ask Nathan King to donate the money needed to again finance the
scientific labs with personnel and equipment so a cure for her son's
disease can be found. Since his son died of the same disease, Kerri
just knows Nathan will help her. She couldn't be more wrong.

Nathan King could care less about Kerri or her requests. He just
wants to get the county commission to fund the dynamic and very
expensive condos he is trying to get approval for. He does not have
time to be a bleeding heart for some kid he does not know, nor does he
care to know. Nathan refuses Kerri's plead of help. In a truly cold
fashion, he firmly denies Kerri and vows to make her pay for
embarrassing him in the public eye. But like a true male, he has
absolutely no idea the power of a mother's love.

Nathan's character made me hate him at first. I thought he was
insensitive and mean. Wanting to shake him more times than I can
count, I had to make myself see things from his point of view. When I
did that, I began to fall in love with the complex man who was Nathan
King. As for Kerri Sullivan, her fortitude and never-give-up attitude
kept me from becoming too morose. Her faith was never ending and if I
could be half the mother she was, I would be a fine mother indeed.

Grab the tissues because Accidentally Yours is nothing if not a tear
jerker. Tearing up more times than if I was cutting onions, I just
calmly wiped my eyes and kept reading. Throughout the entire book, I
was never sure whether the miracle that Kerri needed would happen, but
I still couldn't put Accidentally Yours down. Susan Mallery has taken
emotion to a new level with Accidentally Yours and while it was a very
tough book to read, it was also astonishingly wonderful.

This was a great book but a little hard to read, emotionally. It he a really powerful book to make me cry, and this one fills the requirements. I cried, I laughed and I believed.

ACCIDENTALLY YOURS is a story about love: About a mother's love, about romantic love, about the redemptive power of love.

Though the premise seems strained at first -- a young child with a painful, terminal disease and the mother who will do anything to save him -- author Susan Mallery makes her story work.

Kerri Sullivan is undeterred in her quest to find a solution for her son's illness. She is brave, she is funny, she is imaginative. Though the illness in the novel is ficticious, it could stand for any number of deadly childhood conditions.

In the process of Kerri's research, she learns of a local billionaire whose own child had died of the same condition. With difficulty and connivance, she arranges to meet him, thinking that he is the most likely candidate to fund the research for a cure.

He, however, is bitter about his son's death and not at all interested in anyone else's suffering.

So here's a woman with no time to love and a man who's too scarred to love. Of course, they do fall in love.

Despite how sad this description may be, ACCIDENTALLY YOURS actually is a humorous, clever book. Face-paced and touching, too. Susan Mallery is to be complimented.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Was A Blubbering Mess Thanks To This Book!

Susan Mallery has written some truly wonderful material over the years, but THIS was her masterpiece. I was prepared to despise Nathan along with the rest of the world for his cold and calculating personality, but Mallery pulled the rug out from under me. Her characters were so three dimensional and fleshed out. Kerri was a strong, gutsy woman struggling to be the perfect single Mother. A woman willing to give her very life for her dying child. I loved the 'Pretty Woman' aspect of this story. Low budget meets high stratosphere. Not quite an attainable goal for most of us in the real world, but a fun fantasy all the same. But what absolutely made me shake with tears was the desperation she displayed in clinging to faith. For everyone who has ever loved and lost with a grief that can rip your very soul apart, this book comforts that for every heartache we experience in life, there are just as many miracles. This book touched me on every level. I have rarely experienced that with a romance novel. Forget the five stars. This story earned a perfect 10.

Wow, what can I say about this book.......In my personal opinion one of the best Mallery books I've read so far. The premise of the book might seem un-realistic, but the way the story is written makes you believe that it is possible. Kerri is a single mother with a son who is dying of a rare disease. Her only chance of saving him is for Dr. Wallace to continue his studies and find a cure. Problem is the lab has no money. In a desperate attempt to find funding, she targets billionaire Nathan King, who lost a son to the same disease. She didn't anticipate Nathan to be a cold-hearted man and tries her hardest to convince him, even offering to sleep with him.

Sometimes I felt that I was right there with the characters, visualizing every situation. I was laughing at times, angry, frustrated and balling in other areas of the book. In my opinion, a book that has the ability to put readers through a whole range of emotions makes for a good book. This one will definitely be a keeper!

I read this in one evening. It had a lot of humor and heart, I highly recommend it! I just wish it had lasted longer, which is the best thing you can say about a book.

I was hesitant to buy this book based on the premise - it seemed as if it had the capacity to be too heavy for what I normally prefer to read. I'll be honest, I'm a glutton for happy endings, and I was scared for a while that this one would turn out sad but I just finished it this morning and am more than pleased with it. Overall it is a great story that really draws you in - Mallery's characterization is wonderful, and as Nathan goes through his own internal struggle (though Kerri and Cody's is more visible) your heart will break and mend along with his. I totally fell in love with all of these characters - this is one I'll be re-reading for sure.

I thought it was a heart warming story developed around a child's illness. The hero needs healing and love and to remember what its like to care. The heroin needs a safe place, someone to trust in and a lot of money to heal her son. They both need a miracle. Somehow it seems they might find that miracle in each other.

Love, love it! The cover and the summary for this book made it seem like, despite a sick child being in the plot, it would be a light fun read. It was so much more. It was a very moving story about how far a mother will go to save her dying child. I read the last few chapters while trying not to boohoo! I was greatful that the author chose to write an Epilogue. I would have had several questions about how a few things turned out had she not written the epilogue.

Beautiful story with the emphasis on the strength of love not just between mother and child but between a man and a woman.
The beauty of how love brings us all together no matter the circumstance.
