I don’t have the words to do this book justice. It has my whole heart. I loved it. I HIGHLY recommend it.
I adored Amon. ADORED. The way Veronica wrote him was magical. I loved how he was big, dark, and dangerous…a warrior and so powerful. Feared by so many. Yet he had this vulnerable side and was unsure of himself at times. It was precious!
"Even if the entire world hates me—even if they all revile me—as long as I have your love and your regard, nothing else matters. I can be the enemy of people, Lizzie. But if I am your lover, it's more than enough for me. I told you before," he purrs huskily, "I may be bad to everyone else. But to you, just to you, I'll be good."
I won’t say any more because I think you should go in blind, as I did. If you love all things fantasy, gothic, paranormal, mysterious, witchy, and spicy af…this is your book. This one will ALWAYS be a favorite for me…right up there with Hollow Heathens. If you know, you know.
