A good old fashioned , straight laced piece of historical fiction for young adults and adults too. Most of the story is concerned with galley warfare in the Levant. The book is generally historically accurate, with the glaring exception that the author thought Turkish and Arabic were the same language. Henty didn't exhibit the bias against Muslims one might expect from the time period.
