"No One Cancels Christmas" - by Carrie G. (Indiana)
No One Cancels Christmas by Zara Stoneley is a contemporary romance set during the holiday season. In this story Sarah is working at the travel agency owned by her aunt when she gets a complaint letter from a client that The Shooting Star Mountain resort was not what they were told it would be.

Sarah had already had several other complaints so she gets the idea that she will travel up to Canada to the resort and find out just what is going on with the business before the agency loses clients recommending the vacation destination. Once Sarah arrives at the resort she meets the owners Will Armstrong and realizes her job may be harder then she thought when he gives Scrooge a run for his money.

No One Cancels Christmas is one of those books that had me chuckling on the opening pages during the letters to Sarah then her response ... full review

"He loves board books and he really seems to enjoy those books in particular so when I saw the ..." - by Chiquita Bianca (Chicago, IL)
My 15 m.o. son has had the smaller board book version of First 100 Words, First 100 Animals, and First Numbers & Shapes for months now. He loves board books and he really seems to enjoy those books in particular so when I saw the Lift-the-Flap version I knew I had to buy it. Whenever I ask him to bring me a book to read to him, he chooses these books pretty frequently. He also spends a fair amount of time going through them while pointing at each picture and speaking his toddler language to himself. The lift flaps on this book adds another aspect to keep his interest in the book a little longer. These books have held up fairly well to the abuse my toddler has put them through, the pages have been chewed on, pulled on, bent, books have been thrown, yet ... full review

"good price. I have just received these books and ..." - by Atyrgul.Gaika
3 books in one set, good price. I have just received these books and we sat with my toddler to read. My toddler loves them. These books have simple pictures with names. Pages are thick which is good for toddlers not to tear them. Also if you are bilingual it is good to flipp the pages and show the pictures by saying the names in any language you want. We bought these books for travelling purpose, so the size is good which is only 5 to 6 inches.

"A Truly Funny Book" - by Beverly Britton
This was truly a funny story. Sometimes when the blurb about a book says "a laugh out loud romantic story", I am skeptical. This book actually kept its promise. I truly enjoyed the escapades of the heroine who hires a man to be her wedding date because she is dateless and her former boyfriend is going to be the best man at the wedding. The week-long wedding activities give a lot of room for the main character to get into situations that are hilarious, while trying to hide the fact that her date is actually a stranger she has hired. Trying to fool her best friend (the bride), her former boyfriend, and her family makes for a fun read.

"Oldie but goodie. Typos and boring, but absolutely works!!!" - by JennK (Colorado Springs, CO)
Wonderful book.

Introduction/Instructions:
This was very long-winded, I wish there was a much more concise introduction (step by step quick introduction on how to teach each lesson). I did feel the introduction was a lot of information that wasn't useful or necessary to teach this book.

Important Pages:
I love that there was a group of pages showing how to pronounce each letter (or group of letters, see "th"). I think this would have been helpful to have at the end of the book rather than buried in the middle of the book.

Typos:
There were several (dozens) of typos/errors - including important typos that make teaching sounds/words troublesome (missing lines above the "O" or "E" for example, making the sound completely different). I was shocked on how many typos that there actually were in this book which is supposed to teach littles to read.

Pictures:
The pictures (and stories) were strange but did a great job ... full review

"Don't start this one late in the day!" - by Kindle Customer
I cannot add more to the excellent reviews previously posted other than to say I read this book in one sitting not being able to put it down until 4:00 AM! It gripped me emotionally and I'm still thinking about it the next day. Rarely does even a good book have the depth and character development than this one did. I will be looking for more from this amazing author!

"STILLHOUSE LAKE" - by Rose ( United States)
This was my Kindle First pick for June, and it is exactly what it claims to be - a psychological thriller. Gwen (or Gina) has moved her family several times trying to escape the people (and her husband-in prison) who want to hurt them. She's gone from naive wife of a serial killer to a gun toting, over-protective mother running for her life. The story is very realistic, you can feel their fear and worry for their safety. There are a lot of twists and turns- love the suspense- love the book.

"A Nice Break From History, War, Erotica and other worldly titilations." - by tony from Philly (SUBURBAN PHILADELPHIA)
A wonderful collection of classic and well known poetry by the great English poets whom folks from my ancient generation had to read, and often memorize. You'll recognize many of the words etched into the vocabulary of the English speaking world. It never ceases to amaze me of the depth of feelings these great poets had about life, heaven, hell, love etc.

Every now and then it is refreshing to put down the heavy stuff and read a good poem or two.

It will soothe your mind and rest your soul.

Then you can go back to the heavy stuff of murder, mayhem, sex, violence and political corruption, knowing that at some time, someplace, somebody had better thoughts and shared them with us.

"My daughter loves these books!" - by A. Winder (MA, USA)
My daughter loves these books, this one is her favorite. I purchased this book for my daughter when she was around 7 months old, she loved it then and loves in now at 1.5 years old. She loves pointing to the pictures and saying what they are. I often see her flipping through the pages with our dog. I would recommend this book for infants/toddlers.
