"Great gaming monitor" - by Mark Austin (FLORENCE, AL, US)
Great gaming monitor. Not as good as the really high-end stuff out there but for less than half the price of those it's hard to complain. I am using it in a multi-monitor setup with HD (not 4K) monitors and the difference is night and day. That said, the picture quality (specifically color) gets much worse at even a relatively small angle to either side - I use it in on a desk sitting right in front of it so it's not an issue for me, but if you wanted it to double as a TV and would watch it from further away that could be a problem.
"... that I would receive a monitor with minor defects like a couple dead pixels" - by Erick
I ordered this monitor from Amazon Warehouse Deals thinking that I would receive a monitor with minor defects like a couple dead pixels, and a bit of IPS glow(which is normal), and maybe some backlight bleed if I was unlucky. Instead, I received the perfect monitor, no dead pixels, little to no IPS glow, and no backlight bleed. This monitor is absolutely amazing, it features 186.69 PPI(The product description states 157 PPI but this is for the 27" version) which means you will see a retina display at a viewing distance of 18 inches from the 23.6" monitor. At this viewing distance it is physically impossible for your eyes to distinguish any pixels, and a higher resolution, such as 5K, would be unnecessary(this is assuming you have a normal visual acuity such as 20/20). The monitor stand itself is has great rotation angles, and the monitor settings menu is extremely ... full review
""Never Going Back to 60hz ever again!" [Honest Review + Color Calibration Settings + Overclock Settings + Screen Quality Test]" - by Martin
[[ASIN:B01C05C1OK Acer Predator XB241H bmipr 24-inch Full HD 1920x1080 NVIDIA G-Sync Display, 144Hz, 2 x 2w speakers, HDMI & DP]]

Best monitor I've ever had! The switch from 60hz was astonishing and I will never go back! I was skeptical about 144hz and didn't understand it even with watching dozens of Youtube comparison videos, but when I setup my monitor and played it for the first hour, I was amazed of how butter smooth the experience was.

Pros:
- 1080p with up to 180hz OC which is overkill, but nice on 1080p games that have no frame rate limit and paired with a strong GPU.
- G-Sync which syncs your frame rate to the refresh rate of the monitor makes the experience on all games seamlessly smooth.
- Bezels aren't too thick and the stand is very sturdy with lots of articulation. I also love the slot in the stand which cables go through ... full review

"Awesome for ps4 pro!" - by edgar c.
I got this for my ps4 pro and I'm loving it so far. I wanted a monitor that looked as good as my samsung 4k hdr QLED TV. Dark scenes are not as dark but I feel the colors look just as amazing, response times are great, and everything is super sharp and crisp.
I also like simulated hdr effect mode. One of the first games I tried was Monster Hunter Would, which is already known to have poor hdr support although is does have it. I turned off hdr in the game menu and simulated hdr on the monitor and, to me at least, it look as if that what it should have looked in the first place lol.

"Great Gaming Monitor for Xbox One X!" - by Brandon
I have had several monitors in the past. Ranging from 1080p led monitors to monitors that have 2k capabilities with 144hz. All have been good with different uses. I soley bought this monitor for my Xbox One X which uses 4K. I can say that this monitor looks fantastic and the 4K from the Xbox One X looks amazing. Not only is the picture crisp, but the game mode option is a great bonus.

The monitor itself has 2 HDMI ports and another display port. Along with headphone jack. I mention the two hdmi ports because they are made differently. The HDMI 1 does not support 4K UHD resolutions for the Xbox one X. But on the contrary, the HDMI 2 does support the full resolution of the Xbox One at 4K and 60hz gaming. Just remember this when plugging in a console or any other device that is able to ... full review

"Finally: A monitor that looks good beside my Macbook Pro retina display!" - by David M.
This is a great monitor for the price. I usually try to be a value shopper, and I'm proud of this purchase. This monitor was about $100 less expensive than I paid for a normal HD monitor about 5 years ago! I'm replacing an HD Asus monitor, and wow! Finally, finally, I have a monitor that actually looks good beside my 15 inch Macbook Pro Retina Display. One thing I love about the Retina display is that text and photos look like high resolution print: incredibly smooth with no noticeable pixelation at a standard viewing distance of > 1 foot. This LG monitor also does this! But one thing to watch out for: You need to turn OFF "SUPER RESOLUTION+" (Menu > Picture > Picture Adjust). Otherwise, there will be noticeable pixelation rather than the smooth lines you expect from a retina-like monitor. I think this setting was added as ... full review

"Great monitor, not so great stand." - by Howard Hughes
Best monitor I've ever owned, and I own 3 of them for my setup.

Pros:
IPS with 10 bit color, great for photo editing.
4K, but still large enough to not need text scaling (If you have fairly good vision, I'd say about 30/20 or better). It's like having 4 1080p monitors setup together.
Very attractive stand and back, if you care about that.

Cons:
While the stand looks nice, it's a little wobbly if you're a fast and furious typist like I am. Also no height adjustment.
The inline power brick is a bit annoying. I wish it were inside the monitor itself. Too many monitors today do this.

"Great Monitor for the Casual Gamer" - by John Ryan
Having played on a TV for the longest time I felt it was necessary to buy a monitor as I do enjoy playing console.

I bought this as a black friday deal for around $90. It is a 60hz monitor with 1ms response time. Right away I noticed an improvement in my gameplay as the response from my controller to the monitor was significantly faster than if I were playing on a TV.

The reason I say this is a monitor for causal gamers is because professionals would not use a monitor like this. They use 144hz monitors and have technologies I can’t even describe. But if you enjoy playing games like COD, BF1 or any shooter on console, I’d highly recommend this monitor.

"Great gaming monitor" - by Robert A. Jones
The Monitor is replacing a 120hz Alienware that was 8 years old and finally gave out. This new one is ever better. I have a gtx 1080 FE and when I booted into win 10 it was at 60hz and no option inside the Nvidia control panel to go higher, it only listed 60hz and 50hz.

I thought maybe the HDMI could not do 240hz but its 2.0b so it should. I had to right click on desktop and go to WINDOWS display settings (not nvidia) from there at the bottom choose "Display Adapter Properties" then click "List All Modes" You will see an extended list that is not https://www.amazon.com/gp/css/order-history/ref=nav_nav_orders_firstin the Nvidia control panel settings. From there you can select 1920x1080 32 bit 240 hz. You will know you are in 240hz by moving the mouse in a circle on the desktop quickly. You ... full review

"Terrific monitor." - by David A. Curry
I recently purchased a Mac Mini 2.6 GHz Quad-Core Intel core i7 and this 27” ASUS PB278Q WQHD LED-lit PLS Professional Graphics Monitor. The monitor came with several connecting cables, VGA-VGA, DVI-DVI, HDMI-HDMI, DisplayPort to DisplayPort. The Mac mini has an HDMI and a mini DislpayPort connection. I tried the HDMI, but of course the best resolution I could get was 1080. I needed an adapter cable to connect the Mac mini to the ASUS monitor. I tried three adapter cables. Neither the Accell B143B-003J UltraAV Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable, the StarTech M/M MDP2DPMM6 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Adapter Cable, nor the Monoprice 5106 Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter gave me the full 2560 X 1440 resolution of the monitor or fill the entire display of the monitor. I didn’t originally purchase the Apple Mini MB571Z/A DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter ... full review
"Living Large (Format)!" - by Robert F. Clark (Wylie, TX USA)
Wow! Beautiful colors and response is good. I am getting a different monitor for my gaming system (nothing wrong with this one, I just need G-SYNC and this doesn't have it).
I love how clear the screen and crisp the screen is. The size also makes it easier to see who just 'killed' me in my games ...

If you do a lot of Excel work, this is the size screen (or bigger) that you need without having to keep constantly moving your head side-to-side (like a 34 or 49 inch monitor) and it is just large enough that the resolution (3840 x 2160) doesn't create issues with font size, etc. (like a 27 or less monitor would).
All in all, one of the best large screens I have owned. I will be moving this to the wife's machine since she doesn't game like I do; instead she uses Facebook, YouTube, pays bills, ... full review

"Great Price. Great Gaming Monitor." - by Ber
Exactly what I wanted and for a great price. Been shopping monitors for my gaming setup for a few months now. Decided on ultrawide. Did my research. Found this one at a perfect price and the Square Trade warranty was well priced compared to retailers.

Setup is easy. Settings easy to navigate. Awesome picture, and great, GREAT FOR GAMING.

"Finally!" - by Jason Priebe (Raleigh, NC USA)
I bought two of these to use with my 2017 15-inch MackBook Pro. I use USB-C to DisplayPort cables. The Mac drives the two monitors very nicely (along with the built-in display). I have a massive amount of screen real estate now.

Over the past few years, the Mac's retina display, along with super high-res phone screens, has spoiled me, and I can't stand using lower res monitors like my 23" 1080p display (95 dpi). I've been waiting for 4K monitors to come down in price, and it seems like that time has arrived. This LG is 138 dpi -- it's not as razor-sharp as the Mac's onboard retina (220 dpi), but it's a huge improvement.

One small caveat, which is probably a Mac issue more than an issue with the monitors: when I wake the Mac, sometimes my windows are rearranged a little bit.
