"Sturdy Device That Can Handle 4 100 Watt Solar Panels - Great Price Too" - by E. Ray
Finally got this together. This charge controller is perfect for a 12 or 24 volt system. The read outs are extremely helpful, plus the load timer option is great for turning on security lighting and such when your not home. This is not an MPPT charge controller, which can cost you over one hundred+. This charge controller can handle 4 100 watt solar panels, and you can do alot with 4 100 watt panels. After I got everything up and running I called WindyNation just to confirm that I understood it's operation and had everything connected correctly. The help I received was very nice and not rude or condescending which I have encountered quite alot as a woman that is doing a solar project - I was thankful for the professional time taken to help me understand the options. Love the easy to read ... full review

"Great 30 Amp Charge Controller with lousy, confusing Operation Manual." - by Jay Blue (Dayton, OH, US)
I was a little confused by the poor Chinese to English translated users guide. But once I figured out most of the issues it discussed was to do with the 'load out-put' connection (which is not connected to, or otherwise related to the USB ports on the front ..they always operate). And I was not going to connect the (low amp) load connections. It became clearer to me.
So I set it to ' Charge only' and it seems to work great!
I am surprised that when Charging my 2 6V - connected to provide 12V, Deep cycle Golf cart batteries they get up to 12.6 but drop back to around 12V to 12.2v when the sun sets. But everybody says this is normal.
If it had a readable operation manual I'd have given another star.
I would purchase again

"Works like a champ!" - by Denard D. Springle IV (Fairfax, VA USA)
I used this controller along with [[ASIN:B01CO9BDOG Farmer in the Glen 10"x20.75" Waterproof Seedling Heat Mat for Hydroponics, Propogation and Cloning - Mat Only]] heat pads as a makeshift heating system for my RV holding tanks while we brave the cold IL winter this year. This controller has performed flawlessly in maintaining a temperature of 45 degrees F for our RV holding tanks, even when we've had below zero weather!

"Does a lot for the money" - by Alex F.
For the money, this unit does much more than an item you could build yourself. The display, however, is not backlit, and is inverted (black on white) from the unit shown. Also setting various parameters (like setting when the load can go ON/OFF) is very confusing; I will try to update with instructions after I get some experience with it. This is neither a boost controller nor an MPPT; your panel has to have more voltage than the battery. Make sure you get the appropriate model for Li-Ion or lead acid, as they are separate models!

"Perfect thermostat for controlling a heat mat for any purpose" - by Ralph M. (Chicago, IL USA)
I'm actually using this to control a heater for my hermit crab enclosure; I just wanted to make sure it would turn off if the temperature got too high for them. This does the trick perfectly. Strangely none of the thermostats sold specifically for pets seem to have a digital temperature control like this one, and as such they require a lot of guesswork to figure out where to set the dial to.

This unit is $10 or more cheaper than similar thermostats that do the exact same thing, and works exactly how I would want. I have no complaints.

"Working well" - by Dan
Plug and play. Takes a minute to figure out how to set the Rh range but otherwise seems to be doing just fine. One thing to note is that you want an analog controlled humidifier with an actual on/off dial. A digitally controlled humidifier won't necessarily turn back on when the hygrostat tells it to. Not this products fault.
