"Works great and my 5 yr old loves it!" - by DestinRN (In the Memphis, TN area)
My son just started kindergarten, and the first night we got this book, he did close to 15 pages! He loved it, and he learned so much the very first night. He even requested to do the workbook the next night without asking to play a game on my phone!

""Bedtime Math" Big Hit with My Grandchildren" - by Catherine (Norway, MI United States)
My grandchildren loved this book. We enjoyed reading about fire engines, cheetahs, playing with ketchup and other subjects on the left-hand page. Then I asked my grandchildren the math questions on the right-hand side of the page. My granddaughter is five years old, and I asked her the Wee ones questions. My grandson is almost eight, and he answered the Little kids questions. Sometimes he could answer the Big kids questions, too. When it was time for stories at night when my grandchildren visited, one or the other would always remind me to read some pages from "Bedtime Math." One of the great things about this book is that it encourages children to think about math "in their heads." I taught school for many years, and I found it very important to give children time to answer questions. I did the ... full review

"Nice to have on hand for quick practice and developing good habits." - by emo1573
This is a good "extra practice" book to use with my kindergartner. The tasks are pretty simple, but seem appropriate for the grade level.

"Good basics, but only covers number 0-10." - by Maggies (Gaylord, MN, United States)
I liked this book, but did not love it for my five-year-old kindergartner. The math was a bit too easy, but it is always good to review and reinforce the basic math numbers 0-10.

"Kindergarten Math Skill Sharpeners" - by Kindle Customer
I'm very pleased with this math book. I use it to home school my 4 soon to be 5 year old. She is about half way through. This book is separated up into units. Each unit has a different theme puppies, bubbles, vehicles, etc. The book starts out fairly easy and gradually gets tougher. It keeps my daughter's interest. It doesn't beat you to death with one topic for weeks on end. For instance graphing or measuring, It's spread out far enough through out the book were it doesn't get boring and she does not forget a particular topic. There are ten units. After every unit there is a assessment/test. I wish there was a little more about counting by 2's, 5's and 10's, but we've been supplementing that with counters. I recommend this book and plan on purchasing it again next year for my youngest child.

"Easy to use" - by D. Cavanaugh
Easy to use following the parent/teacher instructions at the bottom of each page. I recommend it for homeschooling and supplementing as long as you are ready to do hands-on work as well as workbook pages.

"Kinder Teacher Recommends!" - by Ami (Southern CA)
I bought this book along with the math version to help keep my 4 year-old's skills sharp over the summer. I have found the Kumon line to be very sequential in its practice, and the usage of bright colors and starting points is helpful for my child. This book focuses specifically on the proper formation of letters (hence, the using of starting points and arrows), includes many ABC dot-to-dots for sequencing, and has a short section of consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) word practice and blending at the end. Another great book from Kumon, that this Kindergarten teacher recommends!

This is my five year old's favorite learning book. He got a late start in home learning before K but he is so eager to finish this book. He has learned his numbers, shapes, patterns very well and we are 2/3 through.

"Great for Kindergarten" - by Amy E (Midwest, United States)
I bought this to supplement my daughter's kindergarten math from school. I wanted to try it to decide if I liked this method for home schooling next year. I like the way it explains with pictures/graphs how to get the answer. It's not the way I learned in school (about a million years ago), and it took me a little bit to figure out what angle they were coming from, but once I "got" it, it made SENSE. My daughter is learning another adding/subtracting method in school, and once we did some adding and number bonds in this book she understood how the numbers related much better. She could subtract before she even knew she was doing it. She knew how to figure out if she got the answer right. I think this book would be quite good in a home school setting. ... full review
