"DocShred C560-D Doc Shredder" - by Salem Or
C560-D Micro Cut Paper Shredder. So far this item has worked very well for me. I have shredded a lot of bank statements, card statements, etc. Seems to be of good build quality and has performed as described by manufacturer. It is a bit loud when operated, but over very satisfied with its performance. Before I used it for the first time I went to a local office supply store and purchased a pack of paper shredder lubricant sheets and followed the directions on the lubricant sheet package. Simply run a lubricant sheet in the shredders forward motion, then run another one in the shredders reverse motion. This will help lubricate all the gears and I feel will help in keeping paper from getting stuck or wrapped around the shredding mechanism. The lubricant sheets say to run one sheet per month to keep your shredder running in good order. I ... full review

"7 star rating and the great price of $99" - by BCorness
I bought this shredder last week after looking at the 4.7 star rating and the great price of $99.99. So far has performed as rated. Glad I didn't spend the $189 for the comparable Fellowes shredder. Good job Amazon. I give it 5 stars.

"Excellent product, perfect price" - by Jerry Pasadena (Pasadena)
I was a little bit afraid to buy a shredder for this price but I am pleasantly surprised. I am not using it really daily but may be every third day and it works for already 3 months without single issue. It shreds credit card without any problems. I have not tried DVD yet. What ever you shred is shredded to such a small pieces that there is no way anybody can put it together. This is 100% secure system. I can strongly recommend it! Excellent product and perfect price!

"A real shredder and worth the price" - by MCP (Dresher, PA, US)
This is a real shredder. We bought it to replace another Fellowes shredder that finally died. This one is about 50% more expensive than the last but it is much, much better. The motor is quiet yet powerful. I would say that it handles the advertised number of pages but I would advise against stuffing it with that many sheets. Use fewer, take a little longer, and extend the life of the machine. I put no more than 5 ink jet printer weight sheets at a time in and it handles them like a champ. I also follow instructions to oil the blades after each load (maybe 75 - 100 sheets to fill the basket). It takes a few seconds but I think in the long run it will pay off. I bought Fellowes oil at Walmarts because I didn't have a good dispensing bottle and didn't want to wait ... full review

"quiet powerful well made" - by D. Simmons (Littleton)
I just finished shredding enough documents to fill the basket twice. It just runs with no complaints.I started out with the dozen or so sheets that killed my Fellows unit off. It just ate it up The power switch is on the back where the electric cord is.It took me a while to find it The unit has a nice big window on front so you can see how full it is. The castors make it easy to roll around. They even have brakes on them. This is a well thought out machine.
"Great shredder for the whole house" - by kpca
I am glad that I purchased this shredder (for household use). My previous shredder constantly jammed - this one has not had that issue. It is easy to shred at least 5 sheets of paper and the bin is large enough so that I am not having to empty it nearly as often. The pieces are definitely cut down to a very small size.(like confetti).

"Very good shredder/good value for the money" - by JRV (Middle Village, NY United States)
I wanted a shredder that shredded cross-cut and provided finer paper pieces than my old shredder. This is a good shredder. It is quiet, manages up to about 12 pieces of paper easily, which is also about 6 large envelopes (double-folded paper of an envelope). It has an auto-mode/stand-by, in addition to the traditional "on" and "off" states. It is not large, but does hold quite a bit of paper as the cross-cut renders the paper finer and it compacts down into the bin. It also has a separate side shredder for credit cards and CDs. This is a good but unexpected feature, as it allows one to easily check to see that something like a credit card is sufficiently shredded. The one thing that I thought was a bit of a design flaw is that, if you let em bin get full, when you pull it out to empty ... full review

Really does it's job extremely well! Quiet and efficient shredder. I like the fact that they included lubrication sheets, too.

"Superb Shredder" - by Kindle Customer
I have had the Fellowes Intellishred PS-79Ci Shredder for one week. I have used it on several occassions for up to 15 minutes of intermittent shredding and it has worked flawlessly.

I have shredded up to 12 sheets of paper at one time (shredder works a little harder but still smoothly shreds), a couple of credit cards and approximately 15 CD/DVD disks. The operation with paper and credit cards is surprisingly quiet. You could probably shred with someone sleeping in the next room and not wake them. The noise level (dB) is probably doubled when shredding a computer disk, but it still is quieter than any other shredder I've worked with.

One time the shredding process stopped with paper still sticking up above the shredder. I had a pair of 8-10 bank checks, side by side, so that a total of 16-20 total checks were being shredded at ... full review
"Excellent value" - by Megan
Quick and efficient. I tried to burn her up and couldn't do it on my mountain. Does credit cards well. For the home this is perfect. I bought a can at big Lots for cheap and off we go.

"Acceptable light-duty shredder" - by James R. Cooper, Jr. (Richland, WA USA)
Purchased this as a replacement for an old Fellowes shredder (model PS60C-2) which gave up the ghost after more than 10 years of usage --- relatively light usage to be sure, but still enough to give a full container of shreds once a week on the average. I've only been using this shredder for several weeks now so can't comment upon its longevity, but I've already seen enough (especially in comparison to my previous shredder) for a couple of comments.

First, the container capacity (which is listed as 5 gallons) is noticeably smaller than the container on the Fellowes (which was listed as 6.5 gallon). I prefer the larger container simply because one doesn't have to empty it as often.

I like that the shredding head has a built-in handle that helps lift off the head from the container. The Fellowes didn't have this built-in handle with the result ... full review

"Great unit! Worth taking the time to write a review, it's that good." - by user (Los Angeles, CA USA)
Really? I'm pausing my shredding to go to my computer to write a review? Well, this unit is impressing me that much.

I've replaced a Fellowes DS-3 shredder, which is a similar size. The DS-3 broke when one of the plastic gears in the drive train shed a gear -- a tiny piece of plastic snaps and the whole thing goes in the trash. I hate that. But seizing an opportunity to get a better shredder, I researched quite a bit and selected this Bonsaii. The features I liked in the listing were its 14 sheet capacity (the DS-3 claimed 10 sheets, but no way) and its quieter operation. My wife really hated the sound of the DS-3, so that appealed.

It arrived fast, I plugged it in. Bright red LED, I'm going to have that on all the time? May have to ... full review

"I have had mine a few years and I'm still beating the snot out of it." - by The SakDaddy (De Graff, OH)
I have had mine a few years and I'm still beating the snot out of it.

I would say it can handle six at a time before it starts to grunt. Its a bit noisy, but it gets the job done. Will shout down in a hour if you overwork it, but...so?!? It's not intended to be worked that hard. I would recommend it to any home user, not up to snuff for home/office, but still a brute for its class. My next one (if I ever burn this one up), will be in the 150 to 200 range ON-SALE due to more paper and less time.
Chews credit cards and staples without a hitch. Oil up a sheet of paper each time before you do some serious shredding for peak performance.

UPDATE 09/2017: Still runs like a champ.
